All these lovely shots and no snap of your lovely Easter bonnet!?! I love crocuses, and when there here, you know spring is here to stay. Luckily I don't suffer allergies, so I am beyond happy now I can keep my windows open at night . Beautiful shots tootes! xoxo
Joining the queue of complainers, I know it's Spring when my eyes start itching because of the pollen. It's the hay fever symptom I most could do without, especially being a contacts-wearer. There's sneezing as well, of course, but I don't mind that so much as one feels a measure of release in letting it go; although it's not much fun for anyone else around.
I really became aware of the stunning beauty of flowers when I was 6 or 7, being at school where our classroom had bowls of hyancinth and croci on the window ledges. Becoming consciousness of their colours was a revelation, something which has never left me, and ever since then the amazing displays even within a single bloom, has an enormous and most profound impression on my visual sense, much moreso than any work of art. Often the beauty of flowers literally just takes my breath away, and I look forward to having that very experience many times in the forthcoming months.
I have ONE daffodil blooming. One. The azaleas are later, as is the rhododendron. But, the leaves are now gone (thank my boy for that), and you can see my DIRT!
well, you can look at my pix. winter is not yet over in these parts; we have been in the 40s the past two days. I still have the heat on in the house. and these is baseball on the radio!
Spring has finally sprung in Scotland at last but my own daffies are dying now! I'd love to know what 'pretty flower' is called. It looks so delicate! Ironically, I have a rotten stuffy nose at the moment........
I saw something today about this being peak cherry blossom weekend in DC. my own weeping cherry is just starting to bud; probably about 3 weeks til full bloom.
awwwwwwwwwwww, poor bob! :(
ReplyDeletehave carlos and the furkids take good care of you!
Yup - - my sinuses and allergies are definitely reminding me that it's spring.
ReplyDeleteand it's hell cause I can't take the OTC drugstore stuff without the drowsy feelings (even though the package adverts say it DOESN'T).

DeleteSpo needs to invest in some Freesia. It grows well in our desert climates and fills the spring yard with fragrance. I have 100s of them now.
DeleteI am using some freesia-scented shampoo right now...
