Saturday Night Protest Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"The Great Pretender" - we have an imposter for a president!  "I seem to be what I'm not, you see."  LOCK HIM UP!

"Keep believing. Keep marching. Keep building. Keep raising your voice. Every generation has the opportunity to remake the world.” - Barack Obama, July 2018

PS - HAPPY BIRTHDAY (August 10) to Jon

  1. Too bad he's not a great pretender like The Platters. Did you know that in British slang a trump is a fart? He's known around the UK as President Fart and other variations on that theme. No pretending there.

I love the Platters. Out here in the burning west, Smoke Gets in Your Eyes is on a loop in my head.

    1. I was only 3 when this song was released. the orange turd speaks several languages: racist, lies, and bullshit.

  5. My mother Cruella loved The Platters. In those days people could actually sing and had rhythm.
I’m not blogging at the moment as my eyes have given up on me. It’s too difficult. Have operation scheduled for October :(
I’ll still be trying to come to your party tho.

  7. ".......just laughing and (NOT) gay - like a clown".

We haven't heard much about covfefe for a while. Is he losing it? Oh, I see. Lost it a LOOOOOOONG time ago.

We're back to 'normal' Summer temps now. Much relief. I think yours is coming down a bit too, though still a bit on the torrid side?

Have a splendiferous w/e, all of you.
Salutations from Fatty Patchie and sylph-like me (I wish!)

    1. oh he's still tweeting racist shit and lies every fucking day.

we had a crashbang heavy thunderstorm yesterday afternoon. RTG and I were in a new restaurant in our 'hood and the power went out. power was back on quickly and no one was inconvenienced. when we arrived back home, all our clocks were blinking and the traffic lights were out on the streets.

still humid; our temps got very close to 100F this past week.

we are doing chores today in prep for a busy week (see RTG's new post). nyla is next to me, being petted with my right hand as I type with my left (awkward). gigi and oreo are sleeping somewhere else in the house.

greetings from miss fatass warrior queen to you and patchie!

    2. We've been getting a LOT of rain in last few days - exactly what we were praying for just a week or so ago. Enough! Now I'm trying to blow it halfway round the world to California where it's sorely needed.

    3. 100F - did you just say near on ONE HUNDRED????? OMG! And I reckon that a large part of that is the heat being generated from 1600 Penn Ave! - inane/insane tweets AND squabbles! Saints preserve us!

    4. we have had plenty of rain too; we have flood watches up in certain areas (not mine). yes, near 100F. this is why we have air conditioning.

  8. I haven't heard this song in a long time, and it fits him like a sand wedge since the country is in a bunker and having a rough time.

I cannot wait for the Orange Skidmark to be gone!

  10. What are you people complaining about??? Haven't you all heard... he is a very stable genius! You should be happy to have a very stable genius as a leader. I can think of something else that comes out of a stable and he is full of it!!!

  11. I love the irony of his orangeness leading chants, that now are becoming "lock him up!"

  12. This song is sort of bittersweet in my family lore. it was popular around the time my mom lost her older sister Bonnie.
A very nice song, although Twilight Time is my favorite Platters tune.

  13. Psychopath is the name of president fart's song. But this song takes me back when I was a kid and watching my sister do the 'Stroll' like was done on American Bandstand. That was when the TV tubes had to warm up before the screen would appear.:)
