Saturday Night Protest Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Too Late To Turn Back Now" - the trio of Stone, Manafort, and Cohen are about to get their short & curlies clipped by either the courts or Congress!

"Keep believing. Keep marching. Keep building. Keep raising your voice. Every generation has the opportunity to remake the world.” - Barack Obama, July 2018

PS - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY (February 22) to Dr. Spo & Someone!

Dig them 'fros!

PS - RIP Peter Tork.

  1. Title of song at top must be one that a certain Mr Smollett is saying to himself over and over again (with heavy sigh), the silly man! - though perhaps we shouldn't rush to judgement. His version MIGHT yet be the true one - who knows?

In my memory, Peter Tork, along with Mike Naismith, were the less 'visible' ones, Jones and Dolenz taking the limelight. But then I never managed to watch a complete episode of their TV show without getting too bored to keep it on. But it's always sad to hear of a famous personality of life's halcyon days departing no matter when it happens. And it brings one up sharp, especially since he was actually only 5 years older than me.

I see that Winter's been still gripping you lately, worse luck - while for a week (and a few more days of it yet before it cools down) we've had temps more like May, which is quite lovely, thank you. Hope you'll be enjoying the same as us before long.

Salutations to all ALL chez toi!

    1. wonder if we will EVER know the real truth about jussie?

you should be here this morning - high winds 40+MPH, but sunny blue skies. winter is still hanging around.

mike was my fave monkee; peter was a talented musician though.

I got to listen to baseball on the radio this past weekend; spring is here with baseball on! it's spring training games, so they don't count, but still...the promise of spring! I am seeing daffy & hyacinth sprouts in the garden already!

smooches to you and your furkids!

  2. I think The Monkees were kind of underestimated. They were a real garage band.

  6. Great song! "I've found myself wanting her at least 10 times a day. " That's how I feel about Obama. Can't we have that man (a real man) back

  7. For me, the story of the week was Jusse Smullet which cut me deep. The only silver lining was the discovery of Jaboukie Young-White. What a talent (and cutie).
I find it odd that all the news channels are coming across very subdued which leads me to believe nothing much is going to become of all this.
So many 'greats' have died this year and it is only February!

  8. Cornelius Brothers and Sister Rose, be still my heart! I agree with Bob about Peter Tork. I've always preferred him over the rest. Mike came in a close second.
I'm all for all the right people getting their short and curlies clipped. Yanked out is even better on the right folks.

  11. Manafort's sentencing memo is 800 pages. Think about that. He must have reeeeealy screwed up to have a memo the size of a Game of Thrones novel.

  13. That song! Those Fros! So coiffed! And what's tht saying? This political soap opera ain't over until Cohen sings?

I find it interesting that Tork, who had the most talent, was relegated to comedic status. He was always my favorite.
