Pic of the Day - May 1 and 2

So Kelly (the dear) has thrown down a challenge to all his blogger friends - a picture a day in May.  EEEEEP!

Since it is now 2a on 5/2, I have a bit-o-catch-up to do.  Here goes.

My two pussy girls - meredith (age 12) on the left, nyla (age 6) on the right.  Both are rescue cats from a local no cage, no kill shelter.

A ceramic yarn bowl; hand-thrown pottery made by my neighbor from recycled clay.

    1. I sure did; but life got in the way of my viewing pleasure. they will have to wait until saturday, I am afraid, when I have more free time.

and yes, my insomnia has me awake at 2a. what's your excuse? :)

    2. I was up late working on some coursework. We're in the final few weeks of this class, with the usual big flurry of work at the end. Only five more classes and a thesis after this one. Makes me tired thinking about it, so I'll stop now. :-)

      Nighty night!

  2. M & N (with those 'torchy' eyes) have melted my heart. I wanna give them a big, warm cuddle. Are they both purrers? I've only got to pick Blackso up and his little motor starts running.

If ever I wanted another cat (but why should I, with two 'resident' and another two assuming they can just come and go as they please?) I'd also go to a rescue home. But after choosing one, the knowledge of the pussies left there which I wasn't taking home with me would prey on my mind so much that I'd be living in mental torment for evermore.

A picture a day for a month? That too tall an order for me, I'm afraid - but I'll be following your own contributions, A.M., and those of others. I'm sure you'll all keep us entertained.

    1. yes, both of them are L-O-U-D purring pussies.

the kitties don't stay too long at kitty cottage; adoptions are quick, since it's the only shelter in our area. 4 of my 5 kitties have been adopted from there.

keep watching this space for other pix! :)

    1. my sister is also allergic to animals, yet she currently has a cat and a rabbit.

if you like the bowl, go check out my neighbor's etsy website; she has more than just bowls and buttons. gina has a kiln in her basement.

sometimes Kelly's drunk ideas are real winners! :)

    1. thank you, bob. I think the color is called "midnight sky", but I could be wrong. my neighbor is a talented artist by hobby, and an elementary school teacher by trade.
