The next to last pix gives an idea of the depth we received; that's the top of our recycling can under that white shit. At least it's a powder dry snow; spouse has been able to start and use the snowblower successfully. We are staying home today; fuck it.

Pictures of a Snowy Morning
Just for Spo, here are some backyard scenes taken this morning. At 7a it was 6F with a wind chill of -15F. I am stinking jealous of your 70F temp; send it THIS WAY PLEASE!!!!!
Yeah. Blows goats, doesn't it? The last pix was taken thru the sunporch screened window, looking out at our street. The sun is rising, the street is clear, the neighbor across the way had his driveway plowed last evening, and our driveway is covered. We got the 14 inches (of snow) the weather people forecasted.

It may be an inconvenience but there is beauty in a fresh snow fall.
ReplyDeleteI agree! it's also quiet and contemplative.
DeleteIt is pretty, though i'd be feeling like you if it was like that here!
ReplyDeleteyep. I see richmond got some snow also.
DeleteI agree with the others... I'm sure it's a pain the ass but they're beautiful shots.
ReplyDeleteSorry, A.M. and MAC, but I can't get the 'normal' comment box to work for some reason so I can only post as a reply to someone else for the moment.
DeleteWas only going to say that these pics are making my teeth chatter, and it's a balmy 47F here at this moment, which would get you, A.M., perspiring - and even stripping off?
thanks; my little nikon coolpix 4600 does a great job.
Delete@raybeard - I do not strip for anything or anyone under 80F. ;-)
Not even when Sassybear's cosmos are impossible to resist a third one....or fourth.......?
Deletenot even. besides, none of my boyfriends are interested in my goods!

ReplyDeleteyeah. back to work tomorrow, dammit.
DeleteI must say they are beautiful pictures!!!! I do like the snow , it's so pretty when it falls, but just wish it wasn't so damn cold. Reminds me , we really should have our local weathermen in more often to thank them for their service!!!!! If this shit keeps up we'll never get out for drinks.
ReplyDeleteI KNOW! we need to kidnap adam joseph and make him conjure up some 70+ degree days, and then he can join us for cock-a-tails!
DeleteI hate cold weather but as everybody wrote, beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteand it IS cold here; currently 15F.
DeleteVery nice! I love snow!
ReplyDeleteHumid, sweltering, sticky summer weather will be upon you soon enough.
right now I would KILL for 70F degrees!
DeleteWe got 3 mealsy inches, but that was enough for a 2-hour delay today, and another 2-hour delay tomorrow. WOOT!

DeleteSnow is nice - as long as you don't have to go out in it. I like the photos.
ReplyDeleteThe frigid weather is supposed to arrive here in west Texas late tonight. The daytime high tomorrow will be in the low 20's.
