And now let me introduce you to a new boyfriend on the scene: Average Gay Dude! He's cute, has mad drawing skillz, is artsy/craftsy, lives in South Florida, and is a vegan!
AGD, go check out these skilled friends of mine: Dr. Spo (scroll down and see one of his famous spo-shirts) and Sassybear (check out his crocheted accessories) and Fearsomebeard (he knows how to bake). I have some of the most creative friends in the universe! Ain't I a lucky girl!
The cobbler sounds delicious and I'm definitely going to try it.
ReplyDeleteHey, you've got even more boyfriends than I do.
now ain't THAT weird for a married str8 girl? ;-)
Deletego check out some of my boyfriends in my blogroll over there to the right.
But will their be enough of your cobbler to go around!?!?!?!? I'm so bad. New boyfriend!!!! Did I hear SINGLE????? I will have to check this out when I get a chance.
ReplyDeleteoh hell, honey, you've seen me in person; you KNOW I have enough cobbler!
Deletenope, not single. but a cutie all the same! :)
"My my my, it seems EVERYBODY wants a slice of my cobbler!"
ReplyDeleteYou are SUCH a tease!!!
well, did you see ALL the cobbler comments on my last post? get carlos to whip (heh heh heh) one of these up for you!
DeleteI want to try this out sooooo bad. But after this weekend I need to watch myself for a little bit. ;-)
ReplyDeleteit's ok; later is fine. I would not want to derail your progress!
Deleteyummy!!!!
ReplyDeleteyep; enjoy making it for your family (and the gnomes)! :-)
DeleteGuys I'm not single, anne marie the knitting goddess is my girlfriend...dreams do come true.
ReplyDeleteThank you so so much for that spectacular shout out! That was so kind of you. I'm so happy I discovered you and your sassy blog. About to stalk your recommendations :)
my bad; I fixed your description.
DeleteI like being your cougar (or grandma) girlfriend. and I wanted to introduce you to my boyfriends cause they are wicked awesomesauce! go stalk them (nicely).
so how DID you discover my blog anyway?
Does this mean we get to spoon feed each other vegan desserts now? Bow chicka wow wow
DeleteI look forward to reading their blogs...don't worry I'm a nice stalker! I did peep each one...I love Spo's Grinch shirt. Sassybear has quite the skillz too, you got competition GF! and Fearsomebeard needs to open up his own bakery and give us a bloggy discount on his treats.
Does Sassybear every Croch-Hey? Or does he just crotchet?

I went to the same college with the hottie on the left!
I discovered you through another blog's Blog List but I can't remember who's it was #ThankfulformyCougar
Deleteoh sweet mother of pearl, what fresh hell is this? what pandora's box (heh heh heh, I said "box") did I open up here?
Deleteand I see you have given me a hashtag. sorry, I don't have a twitter account, nor a facebork presence. hell, I don't even have a cell phone, nor do I watch tv. I would rather read a real book or knit.
my boyfriends live all over the world. I will watch the video later; am doing something else right now.
I don't blame you, television is garbage and a waste of time. According to the A.C. Nielsen Co., the average American watches more than 4 hours of TV each day. That statistic blows my mind. It must feel so freeing not having multiple social media distractions interrupting you. I primarily use it to advertise my artwork.
DeleteLately I've been really into self-improvement type books so I'll listen to an audio and work on a drawing. Are you reading any exciting books at the moment?
It's a silly video but I thought it would make you laugh. I'll post a pic of your cobbler if I come around to making it (the easy version of course lol) while substituting it with almond milk and vegan butter. :)
I have a 40 hr/week job, I have a life, and I choose to fill my mind with intelligent things, not shit like honey boo boo or fuck dynasty. my social outlets are this blog and a member-only knitting/crochet social website (sassybear belongs to this website too). that's all I need.
Deletecurrently reading 2 books: one a bio of the philly-born opera singer marian anderson, the other a detailed bio of eleanor & franklin roosevelt.
I figured you could turn the recipe vegan somehow; would love to see your results!
PS - sassybear is also an artist; check out this linky: http://idleeyesandadormy.com/2013/03/10/anatomy-of-a-drawing
I watched the video; damn near pissed myself laughing! they be faking!
DeleteI do think I'll try the easy version!
ReplyDeleteAnd I've been following AGD for a while!!! He's awesome!!!
Peace <3
Jay
oh, perhaps he found my blog thru yours...anyway, he's now MINE, ALL MINE!
DeleteMMM, MMM, I want some! But I'm not much of a baker. :-(
ReplyDeleteblobby says that all the time too, but he's WRONG! perhaps you and hubby OR you and junior can try this together!
DeleteThanks for the fabulous-looking recipe, sweetie! I plan to make it for my family's New Years' dinner and will post some pics on my blog.
ReplyDeleteps #1: Your new boyfriend is sweet.... and as cute as a button! He commented on my blog recently: I suspect that he found you through my blogroll. :-)
Deleteps #2: Thanks for the shout-out, sweetie! Yes, I'd NEVER use canned pie filling, no matter how busy I was.
I would be interested in seeing how your recipe looks. for me it's all about easy/less time spent. but if your recipe works out, I may just change my mind.
Deletesmooches, sweetie bear! :)
Woo Hoo!
ReplyDeleteThanks fer the recipes! I'll have to bake a cobbler in the newest year!
you are most welcome, sweetie! since you have mad baking skillz, this should be easy for you!
DeleteYours is a classic cobbler, and always delicious, especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. ;-)
ReplyDeleteooooooooooooooooooh, I did not think of french vanilla ice cream! squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
DeleteBoth look like good recipes. I have to wait to try them when I have friends over. It’s too much for a single guy to eat by himself.
ReplyDeletetru fax dat. I wanna try the dried fruit version next.
DeleteSweet bear brought me a wonderful fruitcake, someday I will bake them again
ReplyDeleteI had my holiday fruitcake last month, so I have satiated my fruitcake desire for this year. smooches to you and sweet bear!
DeleteMerry merry christmas my darling.
ReplyDeleteoh spo, you ALWAYS know just what to say to make a girl's heart melt into a puddle of goo!
Deleteone of my christmas prizes is your friendship; I cherish it!
We have one Lucky Girl as our friend, that counts too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the birthday card, I love it!
hello and HNY, dear peter! I am glad you liked your birthday card!
DeleteI'm going to try a cobbler. I rarely bake as neither of us really need sweets but I have fond memories of peach cobbler when I was a child. Maybe making it will be nostalgic
ReplyDeleteGO FOR IT, dear! perhaps use fresh/frozen/canned peach slices. experiment! and then tell me how it turns out!
