Decorated last weekend. No beer involved (the gnomes gasp in horror)!
Upstate PA location landmark (about 3 hours northwest of Philly); started September 5, 1787. The ornament itself is 14 years old.
This week's baked goodie - blueberry cobbler! Pix taken when the cobbler was only 30 minutes outta da oven!
As you can see outta my porch window and down my driveway to the street, no white shit here (thank the dogs and cats!).
I currently have 3 shawls in progress for the bestest person I know - ME! You saw the baby green one last week. This pink/green one is about 40% finished.
This one is about 90% finished. Back in October, Mistress Maddie saw it like this:
Miss Gigi meows: "Happy Holidays To All, And To All A Good Fancy Feast!"
You're a knitting goddess. Mad skillz!
ReplyDeleteIf you to stop knitting...I'll know who to thank when Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian are found dead
DeleteCheck out this linky! Her crochet game is on point:

and honey boo boo and kris jenner and beyonce and kanye west and paris hilton and and and...
DeleteI have been knitting for 13 years now; it is a pleasant hobby. and you get to make/wear shit YOU create!
I saw that linky earlier; crochet is different from knitting, but the results are just as arty/wearable!
LOL death by knitting needles. Don't forget the Jersey Shore cast, Nicki Minaj and most politicians. At least Beyoncé has a talent...all the others need to go. It's so sad how our society idolizes such stupid and narcissistic human beings.
DeleteWow! 13 years and it shows...you're crazy talented. Do you ever sell anything on Etsy?
nah, I would not waste my good needles on killing people; knives are just as good. and yeah, I agree with the people on your list!
Deletenope, I never sell anything because it would cost too much for my time & materials. I have only sold one thing - my spouse's BFF wanted me to knit him a poncho. he bought the yarn and paid for my time. here is a linky:

Living in SoFlo you don't see very many ponchos lol but I bet it's super comfy and your spouse's BFF rocks that this time of year!
Deletethe poncho is made with a washable wool yarn, so it's perfect for fall/spring wear up here.
DeleteIt looks like the top of your tree went AWOL. lolz
ReplyDeleteAh Catawissa! Haven't been there in about a year and I need to go back and get a friend in Iowa's ancestor's grave marker photo.
That cobbler wouldn't last long in THIS house.....hehehehe
last year the top broke off; WTF! the tree is 37 years old; my sister gifted it to me for my first apartment.
Deletethe cobbler lasts about a week here; but then again, there are only 2 of us.
Abby, in the spirit of the season, says WOOF and a happy WOOF! to Miss Gigi.
ReplyDeleteThe gnomes didn't know it was possible to do a tree without beer.
WOOF to abby!
Deleteyes, it is possible to do a tree without beer. gin or wine, OTOH...
;-b
I should hire you to cater all our events! I can't wait until I get a solid grasp on my knitting so we can knit the light fantastic together!

DeleteI started scrolling down slowly but started to panic when there was no sign of a pussy. However it all came right in the end. Please thank Miss Gigi for her thoughts, and tell her I wish her a purrrrrrrfect holiday too - including bestest wishes for the other pair out of camera-shot. Oh, and not forgetting yourself and RTG as well.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you've past the worst that the unwelcome, nasty, little bug is going to play on you and that soon it'll be all go again. It's not the best time of year for 'downers', is it? (Says I thinking of Cajun.)
See ya later!
I saved the best for last! AND I caught her in mid meow!
Deletefeeling much better at 2:15 a here; now it's back to bed time for me.
Happy holidays! And feel better...

DeleteI hope you feel better soon, and now that it's past midnight my local time.... I want cobbler!
ReplyDeleteI am, thanks, honey. we cut it for breakfast this morning. YUM!
DeleteThe blueberry cobbler looks FABULOUS! My family eats a lot of blueberry desserts too but we pick ours wild in the north woods. They have a much more intense flavour than the cultivated.
ReplyDeleteoooooooooooooooh, they would be PERFECT for this cobbler!
Deleteguess I'mma gonna have to put the recipe out here, eh? smooches!
Good morn sweet cheeks from the big apple!!!! All this knitin' has me exhausted! But all beautiful including your tree skirt. Why I bet you could even knit a " cozy" to keep the boys warm!!!!!!!!!!! Final countdown for sure, the city was more crowd then a ever saw.
ReplyDeletethe tree skirt was made (crocheted) for me almost 30 years ago by a now-deceased former co-worker. and there ARE knitting designs out there for "willie warmers". enjoy biting the big apple!
