Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"
Sweet Child O Mine" - sweet guitar work too!

Please keep TRAVEL PENGUIN in your thoughts as he continues his post-surgery journey!

'Scuse me if I opt out of playing this week's offering as I find it difficult to separate this Mr Rose from certain of his 'pronouncements' of the past. It's all tied in with hearing his outrageous comments about the big 'A' in the late 80s when a certain, dear, much missed friend of mine was actually dying. I've never been able to listen to G 'n R objectively ever since. But time moves on. Searching the web I see that he's now got his own health issues so don't want to be over-vindictive about it. Forgive, maybe, but not forget.

Anyway, after pooping that party. how's things chez vous? We're STILL awaiting Summer. Not cold but temps still significantly below where they ought to be.

Tonight is the biggest telly event of the year - The Eurovision Song Contest, won last year (to Russia's spluttering outrage) by bearded drag queen Conchita. No sign of a similar act following in his/her footsteps this year, but it's all high-camp stuff - and I love to see shots of the audience, proudly waving their flags (always some rainbow) while getting very close to each other. It's the only night of the year I stay up beyond 11 p.m. so got to get some sleep in this afternoon. Hope this self-sacrifice is not just to see Russia win, of which they've got a good chance.

Hope everyone's health there is tickety-boo. Mine and the two little 'uns are fine, though Blackso is losing so much fur on his back that, looking down on him, you can see the white skin of his spine. And he's getting so thin too. But otherwise seems much healthier than one might expect for his age.

Anyway, gotta go now. See ya later.
    Byeeeeee.
