Sing like no one's listening.

You give us another 80s flashback today with one that was actually the highest singles position they got to on this side, #6 - whereas, I see it was just one of several chart-toppers over there, this one staying at the Billboard top for no less than 4 weeks. Well, there's no accounting for taste - ours I mean!

How are you and your posse this w/e? Still basking in sultry heat? Ours has been rather changeable of late - 'hot' being only occasional. More often it's cool to middling.

Getting a bit concerned about my Blackso who's now 16 (at least). He's finding it difficult to settle down anywhere to sleep and it's certainly not the weather. Worried that it might be old-age pains which he can't articulate, though he doesn't cry at all. He's here right now beside me washing himself, as also is regular, several-times daily visitor Patchie who's usurped from Blackso the status of sleeping the entire night on my bed with me, every single night now.

Btw: Did you see my lengthy response to your comment on my 'Amy' blog? You probably did, but just in case.......

Have a joyful week-end. Try to achieve a few thrills.
Meantime, Hall & Oates have stimulated my appetite in a certain direction - though it's been so long that I've forgotten the taste. I say nothing more.

    Byeeeeeee!

    1. hi king! everyone here is fine; it's another quiet (and hot) weekend.

perhaps blackso needs more space at night to spread out; nyla is like that with me. she will start out in my bed, then move to the floor, where she can elongate her entire body.

"Meantime, Hall & Oates have stimulated my appetite in a certain direction - though it's been so long that I've forgotten the taste. I say nothing more." - I know that feeling well. :(

    2. I think maybe Blackso is looking for another place to sleep until he tires of that one and goes to look for another. He does this every few weeks or so. At least I hope that's the only reason.

My last para - I didn't want to elaborate, A.M. Truth to tell, I didn't DARE. But now I see, that with your acute insight, there was no real need to anyway. :-)

    3. ain't I the clever one! :-)

regarding sleeping spots, my girls do the same as blackso. you never know where they are going to be.

    4. They certainly don't like to get into a rut, A.M. He's as right as rain today (just like when I look out the window right now, and with strong winds to boot!), he having decided on which corner of my bedroom to take for a change of view.

    6. I suggest we do an exchange - your weather for ours - oh, and the pussies too, but only for a short while. Can't have them fretting.

    7. currently 6a here; raining; pussies are eating their breakfast. I has me coffee and a nasty headache. billie holliday is playing on the radio quietly in the background.

    8. Hope that throbbing head nuisance has gone by now. Mind you if, instead of Ms Holliday, it had been a certain Ms Winehouse, then chances are that you'd still be suffering.

Btw: Last night I had TWO cats getting sick in my bedroom. First, Blackso at 1 a.m. began 'projecting' from his new location in the corner..Then after I'd cleared it up, Patchie, who was actually sleeping on the bed, began heaving ONTO the sheets. By then it was 2 a.m.! Oh Lordy! Blackso always scarpers out of the house after doing this, a not irregular occurrence, as though embarrassed and that I'll get angry at him, while Patchie went to the living room to continue his dozing, leaving me to try to sleep in a room surrounded by the wafting fragrancies of cat sick. Both were fine this morning (it's there usual practice if over-eating, I reckon), though both were acting as if chastened. Their wary manner is as though they remember what they've done, and they know it displeases me. I'd imagine you have similar experiences with your own trio?

And with that I call an end to this particular thread of thoughts. But do feel free to respond one more time - though only if you wish to.

    9. yep, my kids overeat and hurl. but I always tell them "it's ok, mommy will clean it up".

the headache this morning signals the return of the 3Hs (hazy hot humid) weather for the week. it's gone now (the headache, not the 3Hs).

  2. I won't ask whether you're a man-eater, because I can probably guess the answer. :) How are the cats doing?
