Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Eye of the Tiger" - "MEOW!" says the big kitty!

  1. Bonjour, A.M.
Heavy heart this morning - latest news from Paris playing in the background (which you also acknowledge above). Will it ever end? I fear not, at least not in my(our?) lifetime(s).

Anyway, on a more uplifting subject, you give us a 1982 chart-topping goody on both sides of the ocean this week - for 4 weeks on this side, 6 weeks on yours.

Hope all is fine with you and you're keeping yourself as isolated as poss from a wicked world. All okay here, still unseasonably mild (not complaining at that!) though windy and wet, some parts around here really getting a real drenching. But it's been a lot worse - and if the rest of Winter gets no worse then a lot of us will be very satisfied.

Have, as always, a lovely and peaceful w/e.
    Byeeeeee!

    1. good morning king! it's a cool and cloudy day here. spouse is at work, cats are asleep, and I have my coffee.

later I will put on the disco music and do my chores, like laundry and vacuuming and dishes. this afternoon there will be a nap and some knitting.

  2. I'm still wrapping up my Friday night. I'm really bummed out over what happened in Paris, so I did what I normally do to take my mind off things. I went shopping after work.

I love Survivor. I saw them in concert in 2006 when the late Jimi Jamison was with the band.

    1. I prefer internet shopping over brick-n-mortar stores for 95% of the stuff I buy.

  5. Posting the Marseillaise scene from Casablanca is perfect. There was news footage last night of people singing it as they left the stadium. Terrible situation.

  8. Such appropriate videos for this tragic, grim time. Vive la France!
Not a drop of French blood in me, but I've always loved La Marseillaise.

A hard freeze last night and I'm dancing solely to keep warm.

  11. The first clip made me slip on my grey hoodie and tracksuit bottoms and run along the South Bank like Rocky Balboa. By the way it was raining I got wet. I had an Adrienne moment.

The second clip made me want to kick ass!

    2. That's intriguing. Why were you able to sing the french national anthem in high school?

    3. I took french all 4 years of high school. I can still read french; spouse often asks me to translate for him.

BUT if I knew then what I know now, I would have taken spanish.
