Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Before You Accuse Me" - take a look at yourself!  1957 R&B!

BONUS - just for the hell of it and because I CAN, here is another version of the same song:

I played this album to death in 1970.

  1. Hey, it looks like I'm the first one in the gang-bang this time!
I like both versions of "Before You Accuse Me" - difficult to choose, but the Creedence Clearwater is my favorite.

I'm waiting for the weekend thunderstorms to arrive. They should be here in about an hour.

  3. Great song, and believe it or not I've never heard Bo's version before. It's been a long time since I've heard CCR, let alone John Fogarty's solo stuff. Thanks for posting this.

I'm not sure how your weather is, but I think I'm going to dodge raindrops and thunderstorms today.

  6. Greetings from London. I like the original version. The guy with the maracas looks like his arms are about to drop off.

    1. I pulled out my CD version of the CCR album and played it this morning in the car as I drove to temple university (ambler campus) for a class.

  8. G'day, A.M.
Don't think I've been so far down the list as today.
Particularly sad that I can't share the acoustic delights of your post again, as these today's offerings look like they'd justify time expended on them. But there you are. (Sigh!)

All fine here, as I trust you and yours are - and, judging from one of your replies above that looks to be the case.

Has Spring arrived yet? Can you believe that last Tues I walked back from the cinema in a heavy SNOWfall! Luckily the flakes melted on touching surface though it felt cold enough to remain. Heating on all day again today. However, there's a glimmer of hope in that the next few days are expected to show our temps rising all the way up to.......average for time of year. Still, even that would be a blessing.

That's all my news, so 'see' you again later.
    Byeeeee!

    1. I didn't publish til after 6a this morning, that is why you are so far down the list, king.

spouse and I and furkids are all ok. it's been a cold and rainy week here; lucky for us no SNOW (a horrible 4-letter word) as some of my friends have endured. the heat is still on at my home and at my office. merde.

    6. My voice is 'basso profundo', A.M. (I'm only saying that 'cos it sounds more macho than 'treble' or - heaven forbid! - 'castrato'!)

I hereby declare the end of this thread.

    1. yep; some people can't believe I can go back that far in my music tastes. I was only 3 in 1957, but the 50s saw the birth of rock&roll.

  11. the guitar twangs louder in the second version but maybe the first is more authentic. 'Before you accuse me' is a great lyric - I must have said that a dozen times!

  12. While I'm a huge fan of CCR, no one can sing that song like Bo could. Thanks for reminding me of Bo!!
