I'm Gonna Leave This Here

Listen up, white racist GQP evilgelicals - either you stand up for people of color, or you will be shunned and trampled under our progressive feet.  BLACK LIVES MATTER!  ASIAN LIVES MATTER!  BROWN LIVES MATTER!  RED LIVES MATTER!  KEEP ON PUSHING!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (April 21) to Jimmy and (April 24) to Mister Shife!

  1. Change, lots of change, is still needed. I scheduled a speaker this week for August on racism and trauma, for a national audience. It took me about 1/100,000,000 of a second to say YES WE HAVE TO DO THIS, when the opportunity came up. I hope you are feeling better.

  2. I just cannot understand racism. I mean, I get it; I see it.
But how does anyone look at another human fucking being and think they are somehow "less than" when we are all human fucking beings?????

  3. They will never change because they truly believe the white Jesus told them they were the chosen color of skin.

  4. This is the worst I've seen it in my lifetime. I hope things change, but I have no hope left. Humans never learn.

  5. This goes on all over, but I don't miss that part of the US by any means. It seems to be getting to be the most racist of countries. I have no desire to even visit.

  8. Racism makes me crazy. My beloved friend Carol is an 81-year-old African American woman. I call her "mama" and she calls me "baby." She is more of a parent to me than my mother was and has seen me through some crises. As an elementary school student, I experienced the taunts of classmates who said I was "one of those people we're fighting in Vietnam." That misery helped me step into the shoes of the oppressed and better understand what they experience.

    Love,
    Janie

  9. Racism will never change during my lifetime, but I won't let that stop me from stomping a mudhole in their ass if necessary.

  11. Racism is completely tiring. And I don't know how we can change people's minds. Thinking about it is exhausting.
