The Anti-Rethuglican Convention

Since all of us are NOT watching the anti-everything white male parade of fools in FL, let's have some fun on our own.

I heard this song on my way to the gym tonight:

Leg work with my trainer; hurts so good.

While doing my thing, I got to watch:

Those were the days!

And many snarky remarks were traded between us whilst this one played:

Paula Abdul choreography, YO!

Speaking of Miss Paula:

I'm forever your girl, boyfriends!

This girl is playing in my town tonight:

Get up on the dance floor!

I think we are having a much better party, don't you?  And there are no h8ers here!  And all the snacks are healthy!

What else can we do?  I know:

OMFB!!!!!eleventy!!!!!

And to wind this little shindig down:

Last dance tonight, yeah yeah yeah!

Smooches! :)

  1. Anne Marie,

I turned it on tonight because I was bored at work but I started to gag and I had to turn it off. I have yet to see one non-white face (Marco Rubio doesn't count) in that all white crowd on the convention floor.

  2. Love your music clips... a blast from the past! I especially loved Wham! Wake me up ..... which was voted one of the gayest songs of all time.

  3. A.M., you might be surprised when I tell you my own fave out of these classy choices of yours (well, most of them, anyway). No, not La Ciccone - it's Mr Palmer! Quality with a capital KW!

    2. What does NOT make you want to shake your booty, A.M.? Oh yes. Do you remember Anita Bryant's 'Paper Roses'? (Sorry to spoil your good mood.)

  4. I always much preferred Boy George over Wham. Robert Palmer's vid was a classic. Donna's song a super classic and well....Madonna, she is just Fabulous! Thank you AM for the wonderful entertainment option!

  5. OMFG! I LOVED the Wham! video (your husband has written unkind things about Wham! on his blog, for which I may someday forgive him...)!!! Oh so fuckin' gay! :-) I was living in West Hollywood at the time this video came out, and honey, we knew george and Andrew were gay...

    Love,

  6. Thanks for the great videos. I'd forgotten all about "The Robert Palmer Girls". I remember when that was a phrase used to describe "a type" when talking about the opposite (of me) sex. And thanks for including "Forever Your Girl". That song is in my iPod for the treadmill and I need to make a conscious effort not to sing along.... too loudly.

    1. I would LOVE to hear you sing "forever your girl"; perhaps we could harmonize! does your singing bother your devoted husband?
