This shelf represents my late FIL, he of the Snoopy figurines in yesterday's post.
FIL was in the Navy in the late 50s; he served on the
USS Lake Champlain. His baseball glove, a letter, a pipe, and a crock with his ashes rest on the shelf. Below the shelf is a photo collage of
spouse's family.
AM,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice tribute to Todd's father, Ray. He was a very kind man; I remember him from my visits to Todd's house in Catawissa during our college days. It is lovely that you have a memorial of him in your home.
Love,
Janey
todd put up that shelf in the dining room across from the peanuts case. see you soon! MWAH!
DeleteThat is a very nice display! Is your mother in-law still alive?
ReplyDeleteyes, she is. she lives with my BIL, SIL, and their 2 kids; BIL put on an addition to his house since she has mobility issues.
Deleteshe will be 77 in july and we will see her next on memorial day weekend.
I like that.
ReplyDeletethank you, bob. now how about a pix of you on the new tractor?
DeleteVery nice and tranquil - but next time you take a stationary picture how about a pussy getting 'accidentally' into shot?
ReplyDeletePhew - well, that's a relief! Wouldn't have wanted you, or anyone else who reads this blog, thinking that I was 'on the turn' - especially since I expect my Prince Charming to be appearing from round the corner any minute now (though I have been waiting for 50+ years).
Deleteno, I cannot see ANY of my boyfriends "on the turn". nor can I see myself "on the turn". we were born this way hey! :)
Delete'nuff said! :-)
DeleteMWAH! :)
