Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Got My Mind Set on You" - 25 years ago, 1988; a #1 hit single for George!  and a DILF too!

Only 135 days til...(you know what!)

DATE CHANGE: MARCH 13-16, 2014!  HAVE YOU MADE YOUR RESERVATIONS YET?

  1. Ah, Mercy, A.M.! Now you're REALLY talking! This is 'Glorious' - in blazing neon! Such an infectious, heavily-thumping beat.
For a long time I'd assumed that this was one of G.H.'s own compositions. His album 'Cloud Nine' (which I bought at the time of release and still treasure) doesn't give any compositional accreditions to the tracks, so I thought that this must also be one of his.
It's actually written (you may already know) by one Rudy Clark - who also came up with 'The Shoop Shoop Song'
This Harrison, though a Number One in America, only got to 2 here in the U.K., prevented from reaching the summit by T'Pau's 'China In Your Hand' which, I see, was not a hit at all in America.
But, I repeat, the Harrison is WONDERFUL' . Guaranteed to banish any blues!

    1. glad you enjoyed it, king raybeard! I just added another 17 songs to my spreadsheet this morning; yes, I use a spreadsheet so I don't post the same song twice. all kinds of goodies await my loyal readers!

    2. I'm wetting myself in anticipation! (No, I don't mean that literally. I'm not at that stage yet.) I'm going to be delighted (I trust) with each one successively in turn - rather like picking at random from a box of chocs without referring to the 'key'.

    3. I am happy to hear you don't "wet 'em" (said in a monty python voice). as for being delighted, eh, it's a crapshoot - maybe you will and maybe you won't. let's see where the road bends next week, shall we?

    2. That is one weird room where every animate and inanimate object comes to life. The book opens it cover, the grandfather clock dances, and the parrot and warthog keep rhythm.

    3. I like the squirrel at the end with the sax; reminds me of bill clinton for some strange reason...

  6. Anne Marie, I see you noticed that GH is one hot DILF. He's very handsome, I like him better with a mostache/beard. Have you heard the other song he did? The song was called Crackerbox Palace, the video for it was funny and very odd. Smooches to you too! Randy.
