(Thankful) Brain Puke XX

Lots o shit swirling around in the toilet bowl that is my brain. Let's capture some of it here.

Cripes, I haven't done one of these since September; sue me.

(sings) It's the crap, crappiest time of the year!  Seriously, it blows goats; is it over yet?

I am so thankful for all my boyfriends; life would not be the same without your support!

My (online) knitting social group is also full of kind, caring people; I am grateful they exist!  And yes, they DO read my blog!

I have Thursday and Friday off; so does spouse.  It's a nice job perk.

Methinks we will go out for sushi today; hey, if wcs can have lamb, I can have shrimp tempura and teriyake salmon!

I had my nails painted black on Monday night; it matches my mood.

The cat kids are taking their late morning naps.

Currently 11a, 32F or 0C, windy but sunny.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JANEY!

If my maternal grandmother were still alive, she would be 111 today.  My maternal grandfather would be 111 tomorrow.

Damn, I need a haircut.  The things I must do to make me look gorgeous...yeah, yeah, it's a lot of effort!

I need to vacuum my rugs and swiffer my kitchen floor...any volunteers?  (crickets)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING & HAPPY HANUKKAH TO ALL!

  1. A snapshot of your varying life, A.M. (Though I don't get your use of the word 'crickets' - meaning tittering, perhaps?) Never a dull moment for you, it seems.

Happy T/g and Happy H to you - as well as a Happy b/day to your granny's spirit today and to your grandpa's tomorrow.

Btw: Looking forward to the dancing music you'll supply us with this weekend. I'm crossing my digits that it might be a little ABBA. ;-)

    1. (crickets) is a term for "it's so quiet you can hear the crickets chirp". bugs bunny cartoons used to use this image.

and please uncross your digits, there will NEVER be any ABBA on my watch. if that earns me a black mark in your book, oh well, I'll live with it. :)

    2. Oh drat! But thankfully I know that certain others bloggers I follow are also avid fans of the 'Swedes' (well, 3 Swd + I Norw). You see, A.M., you've now got me so afraid of calling down your wrath on my head that I daren't even mention the group's name here. But don't worry too much - we proud fans are EVERYWHERE!

    3. todd did cook a 12 pounder that we got for free at the grocery store. but we did not eat it. he broke it down and froze it already. when he wants turkey, he will pull out a bag and microwave it. the smell of that bird cooking made me sick.

    1. merci beaucoup, mon amie!

there are times when I want to crawl into a blanket cave and not come out. this time of year is one of those. I know I have SAD (or seasonal affective disorder). and the constant message of "happy family/buy crap/eat like a pig/spend money" grates on my nerves.

  9. The only crappy part of this year is having to travel in bad weather. Otherwise, I'm OK with winter.

Hope you've had a wonderful Thanksgiving day!

    Peace <3
