Look out, boyfriends, I'mma gonna hurl!
Baseball season has started! :) And, true to form, we lost our Grapefruit League opener to the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-3. :(
Only 14 more days til the bloggerpalooza meetup! :)
Only 23 more days of winter. :( We had another inch of snow this morning; will this crap EVER end?
Please send mojo/karma/good wishes to our dear Sassybear as he undergoes his 3 operations to restore his health. You will be with us in spirit at the meetup, honey!
Here are some pix from the February 18 storm; Spouse took these. Pix #3 - notice the squirrel up the bird feeder pole.
I finished a baby sweater for my niece & nephew-in-law; they are in the process of adopting.
I also finished a winter hat for spouse. Yes, he is secure in himself to wear pink.
I intend to wear some of my FABU knitwear to the blogger event; hey, if Spo can wear his hand-sewn shirts, then I can wear my artistic creations. See how many YOU can spot!
I just picked up a new follower; he's known to many of you: uptonking.
Nice stuff. So much talent. I just received a notice that a volunteer at the Cancer Center has a gift for me. Though it's a surprise, I am told it is a knit cap in my fave colors. How sweet is that? I'll find out today when I go in for weekly lab work.
ReplyDeleteNot sure I'll get to see you all at the meetup. The Chemo is to begin next week and no one can predict how I will react to it. We shall see.
(blush) thank you. you MUST model your new hat!
Deleteyou WILL make your appearance at the meetup; I have DECREED it!
I wish I could knit as well as you. Spring in on the way; you will have gorgeous weather when you all meet for bloggerpalooza.
ReplyDelete(blush) thank you. you CAN; it takes practice, a little bit every day. I have been doing this for 13 years now. as for the weather, OMB I HOPE SO! we are supposed to get more white shit on monday. :(
DeleteMore great winter pics. This batch has a darker, sadder feel to them... kudos to Hubby.
ReplyDeletewell, at this point I would blow goats to see some green grass and spring flowers! ;-b
DeleteI'm jealous of your snow!!! And you know I love, love, LOVE your projects!! :)
ReplyDeleteya want some? cum and get it! ;-b
DeleteAbby says you are in grave danger to have a squirrel at your feeder!!!! Squirrels are The Enemy!
ReplyDeletebut but but abby, they entertain my nyla; squirrels are my friends!
DeleteI imagine with all your snow you've plenty of time to knit!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the snow pics, though I love them more because they are your house and not mine. is that rude? =)
I knit every day, no matter the weather.
Deletebob, you are a cheeky boy; I recommend that carlos gives you a spanking! :)
The pictures look like the Colorado high country. Your snow will melt and the spring flowers will be blooming soon. Hang in there!
ReplyDeletenot likely; we are expecting more white crap on monday. another snow day off work.
DeleteIt's so freaking cold here in west Texas this morning that I can't even think about baseball. Spring can't come soon enough.
ReplyDeleteI like your snow photos, but looking at them makes me even colder.....
I spoke with someone in houston yesterday; she said the temp extremes have been unnerving this year.
DeletePoor little squirrel - frozen nuts and all!
ReplyDeleteThat new hat of hubby's gonna be an irresistible target for snowballs. Or maybe that was the idea?
bwhahahahaha!
Deletethe hat is actually darker than pictured; and spouse picked the yarn himself. no snowballs (heh heh heh, snowballs) will be thrown; no kids in our neighborhood.
*hug*
ReplyDeleteback atcha, darlin'! :)
DeleteOne of the many things I love about your Spouse is that he IS man enough to wear pink!
ReplyDeletehe picked the yarn from my stash (heh heh heh, stash)! it is actually darker than the picture shows.
DeleteI love the pink hat!
ReplyDeletethanks, dear. only took 9 days to knit. I could see you wearing this color!
DeleteI can't wait, and I WILL be looking!!!
ReplyDeletePeace <3
Jay

DeleteEither I drank to much or need glasses, because I read that one line as artistic erections instead of artistic creations! I'm here in Boston and it's cold as HELL! I should be back in time for the big snow storm Sunday into Monday..............
ReplyDeleteyou drank too much gin, mistress.
DeleteI can't get artistic erections, but I bet YOU know a few boyz who do! :)
Ready to move south, yet? Don't forget that winter comes once a year, EVERY year!
ReplyDeleteI would miss my baseball/cheesesteaks/soft pretzels/tastykakes if I went south. :(
DeleteHaving been to Philadelphia many times, I can't believe that I have never had an authentic Philly Cheesesteak!
Deletethen you have missed out on a wonderful treat! we don't/can't eat these every day, but fabu when we do! and we go to our neighborhood greek steak shop for some damn fine eating!
