Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Only In My Dreams" - cause that's as good as it gets right now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAJUN!!!!!

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDYBEAR!!!!!

Haven't heard this one since it was a medium-sized hit here (#11) in '88. But it encapsulates the era nicely, and it's rather a goodie.
After last night's flashes and crashes I got up to find Blackso cowering under a chair and books when I got up. Thought he must have gone out were it not that his snores betrayed his whereabouts. We've got more coming in the forecast, and with night temps so high too it's quite a problem getting enough shuteye. Going to try again shortly (it's 8.10 a.m.). Perhaps sleeping naked is a distraction which doesn't help in getting one off - to sleep, I mean.
Have a jolly w/e - and 'see' you later.
    Byeeeee.

    1. poor blackso; my steven used to be afraid of thunderstorms. truth be told, I'm not fond of them myself.

I too sleep naked in summertime; a sight NO ONE wants to see!

  6. WTF is wrong with you and Spouse this week? :-) He is dissing Starland Vocal Band's "Afternoon Delight" (one of the great songs of the 70s); you are promoting that evil homophobic cunt Debbie Gibson?!?! Am I going to have to come visit you wiith weed and booze to get your heads right again?

    Love, Janey xo

  7. Hmmmmm. Methinks I might have to revise my opinion of this record - and, you know what? I now find it isn't as good as I thought it was.

    2. 'Fraid so, but her remark does ring a bell, come to think of it. Anyway, for safety's sake just being a bit cautious - though I wouldn't like to decry ANY of your choices, A.M.

We've been having a hot spell for some days ('comfortably warm' in your terms - around 80ish) and every Summer Blackso has this heart-stopping habit of going out to lie under parked cars. I hardly dare go out with him doing that, always nervously checking from the window or periodically going out to look under adjacent vehicles as though checking for bombs. I've told him and told him how dangerous it is, especially as at his age he doesn't move very quickly, but does he pay the blindest bit of notice? Does he hell!

  9. Rest assured Debbie loves the gays. She's grand marshalled lots of parades and headlined lots of celebrations. She has a good heart and has done a lot of theatre. I'm tardy to the party, but would love to dance all the same... - Uptonking from Wonderland Burlesque
