Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Rapture" - I like the dude in the white tux.  AND I had a pair of Candies slides (the shoes Debbie Harry is wearing) back in the day...

PS - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Harper's Keeper!

This aptly titled number is a true gem, with a quality video to go along with it. I see it topped the American charts for two weeks in 1981 but reached a more modest #5 here. Actually I only vaguely remember it, though it should have lodged more firmly, featuring as it does, that Queen of Pouters, our delicious Debbie H.

Apart from the occasional night hovering around freezing our Winter so far could have been a lot worse, as could yours, I see. We're hearing dire forecasts that our coldest Winter for 50 years is on the way (though next week is shaping up to be a comfortably mild spell) but we've had so many duff predictions of extreme hot/cold/wet/dry/windy for the past years that I've long since given up on taking any of them seriously. Still, only a week or so until the shortest day then, just maybe, things can start to look up again, though I know there's a long way to go yet. But, roll on Spring!

Salutations to all in Philly - and special furry greetings from my pussies to yours.

    1. all hail the king! it's been rainy/cloudy/cold/snowy here this week; I personally would like to see some sunshine. baseball season is 2 months away. the pussies are all currently napping, but extend their love back to yours.

  2. I'll take Debbie singing 'Call Me' over this one. I could never get behind 'Rapture' for some reason.
    Have a fab weekend AM!
