M'ning, A.M. You give us a goody of specially high quality this week, bringing back those heady days (and nights) of the 80s when we could take to the disco floor and, for a few precious moments, put our cares behind us. Not quite so easy to do that these days, but one tries.
So, how's things? Has your Summer arrived to stay yet? It's taking an awful long time to warm up here - with Midsummer only seven weeks away! We've got all the excitement of our General Election campaign going on here - voting next Thurs. Unlike you, we have a fair number of parties including, like yours, some 'crazies' to provide a bit of 'colour' - but they'll get nowhere. We don't have the down-the-middle split of extremes here where there are plenty, like me, who are still not exactly sure whom to vote for, though I'll probably end up supporting the Greens like I usually do. Next Friday we'll have a new Prime Minister (or the present one re-instated) - none of this business of waiting some months before he (or she) starts in that office. Will we have another coalition? Looks highly likely. Interesting times.
Trust all are well, that being yourself, RTG + the you-know-whos. All fine here.
Have a particularly nice w/e now, d'you hear? Byeeeeeee!
today was a loverly spring day; windows open; cats happy, my allergies less so. the first spring flowers are dying off, and new ones are getting ready to take their place. spouse cut the grass for the first time. we had a nice lunch out.
and there is a new royal little one! I saw pix of the queen all in pink today. I shall look forward to reading about your election.
Yes, another addition to the gang of spoilt brats, and another one for many to slaver over - though not me, who couldn't care less. Anyway, it's made a change from the saturation political coverage over recent weeks. Hope the little 'un has a tough hide as the press pack and others will start tearing her to pieces once she grows beyond childhood. But that's the way the world goes.
Good morning sweet cheeks!!!!! Is that hotcakes I smell? No. Could I smell some hotcakes!?!?! My mother told me to never get into a strangers car. It a bad day for mothers. Great song. Now going to bake bread!
