Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Together Forever" - and never to part!  I'd tap Rick Astley in a heartbeat!

PS - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SASSYBEAR AND CUBBY!

And please keep TRAVEL PENGUIN in your thoughts as he recovers from major surgery!

  2. M'ning, A.M.
Just got back yester eve after few days visit to big sis - first time seen her since she was widowed in Feb. I'd known her hubby for about 60 years and we always got on well, but was distraught that, through foot problems, couldn't attend funeral. So you can imagine it was quite an emotional meeting. (I didn't blog about all this as didn't think would be very interesting to 'outsiders').
Anyway, back now, with pussies collected back from cattery, which they hate. When they returned yesterday they spent hours just sniffing around, making sure that they were really home and weren't dreaming. Settled back into normality now.

Also must mention that this computer is now operating painfully slowly with regular freezes. (Been trying to type this comment for 50 mins - and that's only so far!) Looks like it hasn't yet woken up after several days' sleep.

Hope all is well with you and yours, and that you're enjoying Summer - while we are still waiting for ours to start!

Thank you for Mr Astley, which I shan't play for fear of crashing this thing. But I give him to you and, furthermore, please don't bother to give him back. :-)

Now taken over one hour to write this. Better go - life isn't long enough.
(Of course, I second your wishes to both S/b and Cubby, naturally. Who wouldn't?)

    Byeeeee

    1. Thanks for your thoughts, A.M. It's now three months since my (only) bro-in-law went. He was 84, and well liked by everybody - and that's no exaggeration. He was a wise old soul whom I could always rely on for good advice. My (only) sister is 77 and is feeling her loneliness deeply though she does have three adult (= middle aged) children, one of whom lives nearby - plus several grandchildren and at least three great grands. Anyway, such is life, which we are helpless to change.

I think Blackso and Noodles remember their going into boarding as just a bad dream - at least I hope so rather than feeling that I 'betrayed' their trust in me yet again.

It eventually took me more than 90 mins to get my comment off to you yesterday. Today is only marginally better, but it could deteriorate at any time.

Send some of your Summer over here, please, before time runs completely out and our Autumn starts. Don't know what it is that's happening this year, though I fear it's all part of climate-change scenario, as is possibly your lack of rain. Getting scary.

And, yes, do take Mr Astley and keep him there - PLEASE!

    2. the kids/grands are all well and good, but your sister misses her man.

blackso and noodles have probably forgiven you by now; if they are rubbing you and meowing and cuddling, all is right with the world.

    3. A.M., I think B & N are still wary of me, having betrayed their trust again, even though it's just once a year. But when their tummies need filling they are certainly rubbing against my legs. (Their meal times are not confined to certain hours. When they're hungry they get fed!) Only Noodles meouws. Blackso used to have a deep frog-like croak but that's gone now with not a sound coming out of his open mouth.
I'll tell them you were enquiring. I've no doubt they'll feel satisfied at knowing.

    4. nyla and oreo have loud meows/purrs; gigi squeaks like a toy mousie.

5a and 5p are the "feeding times at the zoo" in my house. there is always fresh water, clean litter boxes, and a bowl of dry crunchy bits for "snack time" set out.

  7. You can have Rick(though I'm sure it doesn't look like that now. lol). My penchant doesn't run toward pasty English lads. I'm more of a swarthy Italian men gal. 8-)
