Go to Mark's blog to see pix of our Friday night escapade! A fun evening with my Delaware boyfriends!
Saturday was sunny and mild. So we went out to shop, explore, eat, drink.
This is where we stayed (heh heh heh, "anus")
Roses still blooming
Pretties!
Rehoboth bandstand - used for outdoor concerts
A dolphin statue dressed in a beach t-shirt
The Atlantic Ocean (waves to Raybeard on the other side of the pond)
Cross the dune to the ocean
Spouse on the boardwalk
Crowd gathered to hear a Philly string band playing (the plumed hats are the band; I could not get up close and personal)
One of the local shops (yes, I MUST feed my addiction!)
What's THIS?
The Dogs' Mother's gnomes have come East! Get them a beer stat!
(Fake) sheep at the yarn shop...cause wool...and yarn...
And then we came home to this and this
Oh See Anus? LOL!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a great time, and I love the pictures. Especially those little yellow pumpkins.
I KNOW! such a joke! and rehoboth beach is a VERY gay resort too!
DeleteOh what fun! Happy bday to the hubby and happy anniversary!
ReplyDeleteit was a good weekend; thanks!
DeleteLOVE those minion pumpkins! What a great decorating idea! And how adorable are your cats?
ReplyDeletemes chats est tres belle!
Deleteohmygoodness, the gnomes are getting in troubles!!
Deletebet you didn't know they were running around on this side of the USA, didja?
DeleteWell you excelled even yourself with this post, A.M. - and I must thank you for the wave. I'd been wondering who that was gesticulating in the far distance. Now all is clear!
ReplyDeleteLovely pics all.
I had to enlarge the pic of 'Oceanus' to get the joke. (Btw: in our Manchester's gay scene area, one of the main thoroughfares is called 'Canal Street'. The Council must be pretty well fed up with having to rectify the merry japes of pranksters who keep covering up or scrawling out the 'C'.)
Mark's blog contains what must be the nicest pics of you and other half that I've yet seen. I've just got to 'save' them. I'm guessing those of the two of you were taken early on in proceedings? But a grand time was clearly had by all. Oh, what fun!
And I must just mention that Gigi's colouring is so very like that of my Noodles. The big blotches of that greyish-black tortoiseshell on top of white, only the positioning of them is slightly different. The two of them could easily be mistaken for bro and sis.
Lovely post of a most memorable time, A.M.
actually, if you draw a str8 line from philly to europe, you land in lisbon portugal. you are way far north.
Deletesince you are near manchester (from whence my father's relatives came to the USA), have you and squire john gray ever met in person? "anal street" - bwhahahaha!
yes, those pix were taken quite early, before we got too tipsy on the passionfruit sangria! we like mark and joe; joe is originally from philly YO!
cat colours don't seem to vary too much, do they?
Oh, that must have been someone else waving, then. I wonder who it could have been?
DeleteNo, not only have I not met J.G. (in fact I've never met ANY blog-pals) I've never been to Wales at all. By the time we do get to meet, if ever, he'll probably have uprooted his Welshness and returned to England.
I suspect that on your celebration evening, towards the end you looked considerably more 'pink' than when you started, right?
a secret admirer, perhaps, was waving.
DeleteOMB, meeting squire gray would be a loverly day!
and yes, both of us were "in the pink" and the end of friday evening!
Congratulations on a momentous weekend! The photos are great. I like the pumpkins, the faux sheep at the yarn shop, and the gnomes. And I waved to Ray across the pond.
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say about the Anus Motel?
Luv the kitties!
What a great weekend, with glorious end of Summer, start of Fall weather!
ReplyDeletei once visited Rehoboth Beach when my sister lived in Delaware and just loved it.
And as for the cats ... I hope you bought them a gift or something???
it was FABULOUS!
DeleteIf not for the pumpkins, I wouldn't even know it's fall there. I love Rehoboth, haven't been down since June. I love me some Blue Moon and bartender Chris!!! But what..... no bikini shots?
ReplyDeletenope, I had a glass of pinot grigio and spouse had a beer as we waited for mark's show.
Deletebelieve it or don't, it's the first time we have stayed in rehoboth. we have stayed in lewes and ocean city md, but never rehoboth. we WILL go back again (in the off season of course).
Bartender Chris left the Blue Moon and now works at Purple Parrot.
Deletewe had brunch at the purple parrot on sunday morning; wonder if chris made my mimosa?
DeleteLooks like a good time!
ReplyDeleteit was! everyone needs a 3-day weekend to recharge the batteries. hopefully you clicked on over to mark's blog to see the gruesome twosome (spouse and I).
DeleteYes! Actually, I saw them first. :)
Deleteand it didn't frighten you? it IS halloween week, after all...
Deletehopefully you clicked on over to mark's blog to see the gruesome twosome (spouse and I). go back to the second paragraph and click on the word "mark"; pix galore there!
ReplyDeleteI saw the photos of the festivities and blonde hair really suits you (I remember from going through other blogs with photos of Bloggerpalooza that you were formerly a redhead).
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great time was had by all.
~ Freckles
I switch back and forth; right now the red is washed out and the blond remains. red is the hardest color to hold onto when you are mostly gray, or so I am told.
Deleteso the pix didn't scare ya away?
The only pictures that scare me are of the Kartrashians and any 20-something starlet giving 'duckface' and making her eyes go as vacant as possible, on purpose. Photos of friends together and celebrating are salve for the soul.
Delete~ Freckles
yeah, the kartrashians and clowns and the GOP scare da piss outta me!
DeleteI love the pic of the lamb:)
ReplyDeleteI touched it; felt like concrete.
DeleteAwww, the babies were glad to see their parents;)
ReplyDeleteYES! my neighbor took good care of them, but it's not the same as mommy and daddy!
DeleteIsn't it nice to have a neighbor that picks up the slack when you're gone. Its just a nightmare otherwise. A friend feeds our cats, but we have to board the dog.
Deletemy 2 neighbors and I have cats; we all help each other in times of need. the way it should be.
DeleteIf was great to see you and Spouse! I'm sorry my time with you was so abbreviated due to my performances, but I'm glad you two had a fun rest of your weekend. MUAH!!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU, precious, for a great time!
Deleteand I got to see my DE boyfriends for good food/drink/conversation; THAT is a PLUS in my book!
MWAH back atcha!
I have never seen minion pumpkins before; jolly good fun !
ReplyDeletethank you for the shout out.
always, dear spo, always! MWAH!
DeleteSounds like a fun time. One day my dear I will see you again for cock-a-tails and virgins!
ReplyDeleteyes, dear fearsome; can't wait!
DeleteThe ocean looks terrific. And a great weekend too by the looks of it. I am jealous.
ReplyDeleteJP
it was. don't be too jealous; head to the nearest seacoast and relax!
DeleteIt has been at least 45 years since I have seen that Dolle's taffy sign. It still looks the same!
ReplyDeleteay yi yi! waaaay toooo loooong; time to visit rehoboth again!
DeleteWonderful time of the year to go to the beach, I love the sheep
ReplyDeleteno rugrats, no asshole tourists, just the locals out and about and great prices on lodging in the off-season.
Deleteyarn stores and sheep go together like peanut butter and jelly.
