M'ning, A.M. Hope you and yours are well - and at least better than I've been, having had the stuffing knocked out of me by the recent bout of seasonal malady. Now we're perhaps 50% en route to complete recovery so no further need for concern. ( I'd had the regular flu jab at start of Oct. Was my succumbing a coincidence or the cause? One can but wonder.)
This energetic ditty you give us this week is strongly evocative of a strange period in my life, having just returned to England after three years living in Germany, now ensconced in a cheap hotel in Earl's Court, West London, money running out at alarming rate and with nowhere else to go. I see that this 'Heavy D etc' number reached #2 over here but only got to #11 in the their home country. If I wasn't a rather lacking in stamina I might have danced along, but then I'd first have needed to search out some fetishistic rainwear to go with the spirit of the thing. (Very strange, what?)
Unaccountably mild here, and has been for several weeks. They said we were going to be in for the longest and coldest Winter for 50 years. Well, we're still waiting and there's no sign of it yet. I'll be happy to go on waiting.
Regards to all in Philly - I mean, those that you feel are worthy of salutations. Maybe by next Sat will be dancing ft again. Have a simply FAB w/e. Byeeeeee!
Does doing it on the side of the road count? I'll admit I've done it in the middle, as I remember one of them loosing control of the cars as we were driving at the time, just not as many times as I have on the side.
I'm not feeling so hot. I'm recovering from what I believe is a bad cold. I thought I had flu symptoms yesterday, but I'm slowly getting back to my old self again.
I've never done it in the road, Anne Marie. In the tree, but not in the road. The song was written by Paul McCartney, a friend of the gorilla nation.
ReplyDeletein the tree is harder (heh heh heh).
