Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Tell It To My Heart" - is that really hair or just extensions?  Whatever it is, it's F-U-G-L-Y!

PS - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mark!

  1. Lady, those were the good old days! I used to dance to this like a fool, right before my club days came to a end. Taylor looks good these days, an improvement over those hair days. My favorite song was her re make of Barry White song, Can't Get Enough of your Love, in which he appeared. It was also remixed to a dance house song. It was like having church.

  2. I have a feeling that 'hair and makeup' ate up 90% of this video's budget and that choreography wasn't a priority at all. Nevertheless it was a fun song in its day!

  3. M'ning, A.M.
I'm a bit down the field this morn. Computer froze up - an increasingly frequent occurrence which I've got to live with, exasperations abounding.

At first I thought your offering today would have been well outside my field of appreciation - i.e. post 2000 - but as soon as I played it I remembered. Going right back to 1988, my disco era! - a number which got, I see, to #3 here, #7 in U.S.

All okay here. Mild weather continues, and long may it last. Pussies fine, though Blackso now very visibly old, with fur disappearing, but still in reasonably good health as far as I can see.
    And you? And yours?

No other news of interest, so must sign off before it all freezes over again.
    Byeeeee!

    1. I will occasionally post a 2K song, but not often. 50s-90s are my formative years, with a throwback 30s-40s tune in the mix. keeps all y'all guessing.

spouse and I have sore throats this weekend; otherwise, humans and pussies are fine. this hot/cold weather mix sux; at least we have not had any snow, unlike some parts of our country. steady on, blackso old chap.

    2. I'm more concerned about Blackso than he himself seems to be, A.M. But I'd rather have it that way.
Hope you plus one get over those sandpaper-throats quickly. No fun at all.

  4. Her hair is like a scraggy old lion mane, but I took more notice of her big red lips. Do you have lips like that, Anne Marie?

  5. They're unnerving extensions - - extensions symbolic of tawdry Hollywood trash and glitter (reminds me of my old Hollywood nights....) - -
but I luv the song and almost sorta luv the video. And I'm dancing!!!

  7. I LOVED me some Taylor Dayne!!!!! You couldn't tell be back then I was nt her. In the 90s another artist came out named Anastasia, and alot of people though it was Taylor because of the voice. Nobody could replace Taylor.

  9. Good morning, and those are definitely hair extensions. My hair is almost that long now, and there's no way I can style it to get anything like that.

That is one of the better songs I remember from the 80s, and it was a great time to be alive to listen to music.

  11. Boy does this bring back the memories!! I LOVED Taylor Dayne. I would sing along to her *cassettes* in my car, and even saw her in concert. The hair is over-the-top for sure, but then again it was the 80s. Love this song, but I think my favorite remains "Love Will Lead You Back". Thanks for the birthday shout-out AND the card in the mail. Very considerate of you!!
