So I Won This Award...

...from Fearsome Beard (the dear).  He seems to think I write great words of wisdom and knowledge.  Nope.  Not here.

Here are the rules:

My personal nominations (in no particular order):

joe.my.god
blogoratti
going gently
I should be laughing
she who seeks
a day with the mistress borghese
the daily irritant
the adventures of travel penguin
the japing ape
cabinet of curious treasures
tales of the sissy

The Questions:

Which literary genre do you prefer - bio/autobio, travel, baseball, knitting

Why did you start blogging - cause I was dared into it by some boyfriends

Order or Chaos - order

Where would you like to live - right here in my hometown. If not, the hudson river valley in NY state

Starry sky or sunset - sunset

Better the paper book or rather the e-book - paper

What is the writing for - to connect with my boyfriends

What do you think about social networks - they suck.  I blog and belong to a knitting/crochet social network only.  I don't need the rest.

TV or not TV - no TV, TYVM

Favorite food - chinese, italian, thai, indian, seafood, mexican, bbq

Favorite music genres - everything but religious and (c)rap

Eleven random facts about me:

My favorite painter is Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec

I am not a technogeek

I have no use for flat-screen tvs, ipods, blackberries, etc.

I do not bring my job home with me

I do not hang out with my co-workers after hours

I am a minimalist; I do not let possessions define me

I do not like extreme cold or extreme heat; my ideal climate is 70 degrees with low humidity

I am claustrophobic

I have a fear of heights

I have a fear of water

At a function where I know no one, I tend to stay on the perimeter, listening to conversations and people watching

  5. Love it.
I, too, am a minimalist--I like the Dalkai Lama';s syaing, "Want the things you have, don't have the things you want."

And I, too, am claustrophobic ... not of small spaces, per se, but the fear of not being able to move ... like when I awake surrounded by cats and a husband and I cannot move. Oy!.

  8. Well done, dear. A most 'singular' achievement, won only by you and, er, a very few select others.

I'm with you on your ideal temperature, as well as being a wallflower at social functions, as well as...........well, I could go on. Another time p'raps.

  11. Oh, I love these questionaires/surveys etc. They're interesting to fill in & we find out more about the person & their taste. If I'd start answering those questions up there, though, it wouldn't go fast enough. :D So, glad at least I read your answers!
