Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Tubthumping" - I get knocked down, but I get up again!

A bonus - RIP, Glenn Frey (repeat from 10/26/13).

  1. Been knocked down more times than I care to count - - seems more and more difficult to get up again.
Yet another untimely death in the music world. Such a shame.

Twelve inches of snow yesterday here in the wilderness, and it's still snowing heavily tonight. Not much to dance about.
    Except to keep warm.....

  2. M'ning, A.M.,
I imagine you might well be snowed in now? Your (then) expected blizzards was all over our news last night. I still don't know whether they materialised as feared, or maybe it's even now still snowing? Whatever the situation, I trust you are coping.
As for us, mild weather has returned (heh heh), though a bit blowy and wet - and will probably remain that way for a few more days at least. Better this than more typically Winter weather. But I won't crow too much as what you're experiencing will probably send some of its effects this way before long, though of course it won't by then be anything like as dire as some over there are having it.

I've had a great regard for 'Tubthumping' since it first came out. Easily one of my topmost favourites of the last 20 years. Sadly, though, I've still no sound - and it's likely to remain that way now until I can get a new entire thingy. (Flash players refuse to load!)

When the name of Glenn Frey started appearing all over our news a few days ago, must confess it rang no bells at all with me. Naturally though, I do know the songs.

So, no other news from here. We are all well as can be hoped. Trust same is with you.
So I suppose you'll now be locking yourself indoors - and maybe, just maybe 'pissing the night away'?

    Byeeeeee!

we cannot travel as a state of emergency has been declared by our state guvmint, our public transportation has been closed, and there is no place I wanna be other than inside my home.

and I know what "pissing the night away" means in britspeak - we just might tonight!

    1. holy shitsnax, "dumped" ain't the word; more like "slammed". my snowplow guy came thru my driveway once already; ya can barely see where he made a dent!

don't have anywhere to go; have plenty of food and drink (wine) and cat food/litter.

  8. I hope things aren't too bad where you are. I was knocked down by a cold the past two days, and I'm slowly getting my energy back.

I was sad to hear of Glenn Frey's passing. The last time I went walking, I listened to The Eagles Greatest Hits on my smartphone.

  11. I do get up again after having been knocked down but never without some wear and tear, unfortunately. I'd say my favourite Glenn Frey song is "You belong to the City".

  12. I too enjoyed the music. Had to listen before writing. I am shocked, I thought you could handle 18"? I would love to be a snow queen, but not sure I can pull off the all white look with out getting some snickers. I too had Chinese take away last night, with wine. I am getting ready to devour some coffee bacon, home fries and flap jacks and then watch some movies. You alls stay warm over there in that neck of the wood and thanks for stoppin in.

    1. most women's internal plumbing can hold no more than 6 inches, cause that's how we are made. I am not one of those "big eaters".

we are warm and dry; pix tomorrow. I have big band music streaming on the computer, and am gonna do some knitting and napping this afternoon.
