Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Mickey" - this chick is too spooky!  But she IS a homegirl, so RECOGNIZE!

Bonus - RIP, Lee Andrews (RECOGNIZE mah homeboy!), lead singer of Lee Andrews & the Hearts (late 50s doo-wop group).

    1. yes it was. I was but a mere toddler when doo-wop was at its best. I learned to appreciate it much later in life.

  6. The Mickey chick is also very athletic. So was I at that age. Remember when doo-wop groups would almost form on the street corners? There were some talented groups then. RIP Lee Andrews.

    1. toni is also a dancer. we were ALL once young and athletic and limber and had plenty of energy.

street corner harmony is not practiced today...unless the sound of 4-5 guys going "I'm gonna take you down bitch" is considered "music".

  7. Good morning, and that's a great pick for a morning song! I loved that video back in the day and still love the song now. I'm watching racing today and taking Monday off. Have a great weekend!

  8. M'ning, A.M. - or afty by now?
Don't know this Mr Andrews fella, and he doesn't feature in my ref books. Perhaps he was better known on your side?
On the other hand I do know 'Mickey' without playing it (which I can't). - Who can have escape it?

All okay here - except for weather which obstinately refuses to accept that the calendar shows it's supposed to be Springtime. Brrrrrrr temps still!
All fine there? Is recovery progressing for both?

Have a fine (what's left of the) w/e.
Mwah mwah to all, including of course the three little you-know-whos.

    Byeeeeee!

    1. it's now sunday morning, cold for the first day of spring. we are expecting some snow later today. WTF?????

no recovery yet at our house; spouse is on med course #4 for his recurring pneumonia, I am on med course #2 for my recurring bronchitis. it sux; we are sick of being sick. the pussies are good nurses though.

today we are doing nothing but staying indoors and resting. I have some laundry to do and a pre-season baseball game to listen to on the radio. have a good week, both yourself and your pussies!

    2. Hmmmm Sounds like your weather swings both ways - which, I should imagine, does no good at all to your recovery rate, which itself seems like it's stalled. Sorry to hear that.

Yes, my own pussies keep me on the right side of sanity - just. Their therapeutic powers are formidable. And, btw, had yet another new potential visitor peeking through the kitchen window this morning, a smokey grey one who scarpered the moment he saw me approaching, though I was only going to open the window to let him in. But I know he'll be back. The curiosity will keep gnawing at his little cat-brain till he investigates thoroughly. (
We've now got the newish, big bushy-tailed Tortie coming in just about every day to mop up what the others have left, despite Patchie chasing her off every time he notices her - AND she now loves me to stroke and pat her. Such are life's excitements!
Do have a fine week yourself, or as well as you are able.

    3. Glad you are. Sunshine definitely makes a person feel better. I went to the doctor with a cough, it wasn't a huge deal, but was told this stuff is hanging on up to six weeks.
