A Lazy Sunday

Cold and windy and rainy here.  Just uploaded some pix of various things.

First up, birfday presents from last month:

From top to bottom (hee hee hee), a coloring book, a George Foreman grill, a t-shirt, and an xmess ornament.

Second, this is what the cats are doing today (minus the sun cause there ain't any):

Third, I finished a baby sweater this week for my company's rep in Belgium:

A knitting friend sent me some candy; the maple syrup drops are to DIE for!  AND they are from Canada (Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian followers!).

  2. You got that right sister! A lazy weekend indeed. I was too go to Phillies Outfest, but was brave enough to go out in the wind and rain. So I'm snuggled on the sofa with coffee and a pumpkin whoopie pie! Those candies sound relish!!!!!!

  3. I luv the T-shirt and the baby sweater is beautiful (especially since it doesn't have a screaming baby accompanying it).

My cats got jealous when they saw the cozy places where your kitties are napping. I hope the sunshine returns soon.

    1. Question:
Do Canadians eat turkey on their Thanksgiving Day??

    2. the baby isn't due til march; and yeah, I like the clothes without the brats too.

I bet your kids have cozy nap spots too. the sun came out at 3p; too damn late in the day.

I will have to let the canadian readers answer your question as I do not know their traditions.

  7. And I loves the.......well, need I say?
Mine are giving me pleading looks to turn on the heating, but I'm standing firm. They'll just have to wait a little longer (even though I'm crying in my heart for them). But, damn it all - I'm not MADE of money!

    1. I have had the heat on from last week; my asthma cannot take the cold air. and I want my pussy girls (and me and RTG) to be comfortable.

  8. Nice presents! I miss my George Foreman grills. I had a 360 grill that was great for steak and chicken.

I hope you had a great day. I spent most of mine with the family across town, and then I made the poor decision to watch the debate when I got home.

    1. we want to grill chicken and turkey burgers and fish and grilled cheese sammiches!

spouse watched the debate; I have had enough election talk to last the rest of my lifetime.

  9. The cats look so cute in their beds. I didn't have a lazy day. I cleaned house, ran errands, avoided watching the Broncos lose, made a stop at J. Crew and watched that clown circus of a debate. Have a great week. RJJS

    1. that cat furniture is stationed at the living room window that faces the backyard and the bird feeder. cheap (see what I did there?) cat entertainment.

    1. I think the tall cat tree came from home depot.

I have had a crock pot for over 30 years, but this is my first grill. and I have had a breadmaker/toaster oven/microwave/mixer for 20+ years too. helpers to fix tasty meals!

    2. LOL. Some days you've got to wonder...okay a lot of days. grin.
Those homemade baby clothes really mean a lot. I passed my kids knit sweaters and blankets on to the grands. One of the sets was from the HH's sister who is no longer with us. I like the pattern and colors in yours. Perfect.
