Saturday Night Protest Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Over Under Sideways Down" - the roller coaster ride that is the deplorable dump dictatorship.  WHEN WILL IT END?

RESIST, INSIST, PERSIST, ENLIST! (thank you Hillary!)

ORGANIZE!  MOBILIZE!  CALL OUT THE H8!

And here is a new protest link for you to check out:

  1. Ah, men in white suits! They do look pure, but removing stains must be a headache! It will end when they get into a food fight!

    2. As promised here is the recipe.
      Rosa's Spanish Almond Cake

In a bowl beat 6 egg yolks - yeah I know I hope you're not dieting - (just the yolks) with 1 and 1/4 cups of sugar until it's a pale cream colour. We call it caster sugar over here but I think you call it superfine sugar in the US? Beat in 1 and 3/4 cups of ground almonds, a couple of drops of almond extract, and the zest of a lemon and an orange. In a separate bowl and with a clean whisk beat the eggs whites until stiff and little peaks stick up. Fold in the almond mixture. Apparently you need to work it over quite a bit into the egg whites. Grease an 11 inch spring form cake tin, non stick if you've got it, with some butter or cooking spray and dust with a little flour. If you want to keep this gluten free just use the butter and spray. Rosa says she sometimes used grease proof paper. Pour in the cake batter and bake at 350 F for 40 minutes. It should feel firm to the touch. Let it cool completely. Rosa dusts hers with icing sugar. Think you guys call it confectioners sugar?
Good luck. If you ever make it post a pic.

  7. OMG that's Jimmy Page on guitar, isn't it? This is a nice surprise for a Saturday morning.

My head is straight this morning. Let's see if it stays that way when I log onto Twitter in a few minutes.

  10. Still here, W.Q., though in weakened state. Thought that the bug I caught in the lead up to Xmas, and which had knocked me flat, would see me through at least a couple more years - but it came back for a second bite. Still, now once again back on the ascendant - and getting more than a little tired of it!

Apart from that, okay here with no major changes. Trust you and yours also doing 'okay' or better.
Energy level low so I'll stop here. Hope we'll be brighter and bouncier next w/e.
    Byeeeeee!

    1. It's a slow process, W.Q., but the direction it's going in is the right one. I'll have to leave catch-up till later. Need to get under the duvet again and try to sleep off a bit more of this cursed malady.
      Meanwhile, warm regards to all.
