  3. I agree with Bob. John may be small but he's perfectly formed. It's a great song.
Let's just say it's been an interesting week in politics - on both sides of the Atlantic.
    Have a great week.

  4. When I was young, I remember this song. I wanted to be Private Eye for a while, but mother wouldn't permit it. And who knew, I still enjoy private dick anyhow.

  6. Ah, I miss this song! I loved this video when MTV played it what seemed like every hour or so back in the day.

I'm indulging in donuts for breakfast. It's leftovers from the whiskey and donuts I had while watching the season premiere of Wynonna Earp last night.

  7. G'day, W.Q.,
I didn't know this record at all. I see that although it topped the Billboard charts back in 82, it only reached #32 here - despite it being their next release after 'I Can't Go For That' (#8 in these parts). This one's quite an attractive number - the song, I mean, not J.O. - though he is that too. My hair was once like his - but I suppose he's saying exactly the same thing now as well. Little John is the one who always grabs my attention even though when Hall gets the leads.

So you're still resisting! Every day seems to bring a new reason not to stop, which I know you've no intention of doing.
We've just had the shine, the gloss and the smile (which always seemed to be somewhere between a grimace and a rictus anyway) taken from off from our Prime Minister's pretty face, as you've probably heard. I'm well satisfied with the election result even though she's still there, at least for now. With a little luck, before too long D.T. may only have the hand of a certain senior Russkie to hold.

So how are you otherwise? Still battling against life - and the weather?
We're are okay here. (No, I shan't mention 'him' as there's no reason to). Summer is looking good - and we're as contented as might be hoped.
    Speak to ya later,
    Byeeee.

bwhahahahaha for theresa; bitch had it coming! now if only we could dump the dump...

RTG went back to work today for 1/2 day since his operation; he is feeling pretty good, though the MD said it would take 6 weeks for pacemaker and heart to adjust to each other.

it's a hot one this week; temps in the upper 30s C. summertime. the pussies and I are holding our own. smooches to all and extra snorgles to blackso.

  12. You probably already saw this since it's right in Philly. So glad to see greater awareness/acknowledgement of particular issue for people of color. So much to right in this violent, intolerant world. L.
