This is how I am feeling right now.
Dance like no one's watching.
Sing like no one's listening.
"Glad All Over" that child molester Roy Moore lost!
RESIST, INSIST, PERSIST, ENLIST! (thank you Hillary!)
ORGANIZE! MOBILIZE! TAKE A KNEE! RAISE A FIST!
CALL OUT THE H8! EVERYWHERE! RIGHT FUCKING NOW!
PS - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Dr. Spo's Someone!
Well, that was happy dance bouncy!
ReplyDeleteI saw you doing a happy dance!
DeleteWell, now I wanna Watusi!
ReplyDeleteWell I wanna Zulu, more fierce! Oh, we're talking dance not head husbands, sorry. This has kind of a Hully Gully vibe to it, if I recall properly.
Deletethe watusi was recorded by the orlons, a philly girl group, so RECOGNIZE!
Delete{{dance dance}}
ReplyDeleteyou and the boy scout dance!
DeleteI know what you mean about the bobbing up and down - they’ve probably all had knee replacements. Good song tho. I do like to feel “something” all over if I can. God I’m shallow.
ReplyDeleteJP
yes, yes you are shallow. but you would not be mah lil bro if you were not! smooches to you and guido and all in denmark hill!
DeletePS - I have my UK-made xmess pudding & brandy butter! :)
You do? From where??!!
Deletethe pudding is matthew walker from heanor, derbyshire.
Deletethe brandy butter is wilkin & sons ltd, tiptree essex.
pretty british if you ask me! :)
we had it last year and loved it, so it is on my table again for the holidays this year.
Oh, the Dave Clark Five! Now THERE'S a trip down memory lane! Low-rent Beatles, but still, big in their day.
ReplyDeleteyep. and we didn't care as long as they had british accents! a british accent still makes me go weak in the knees...
DeleteI haven't heard The Dave Clark Five in ages. Thanks for sharing this with us!
ReplyDeleteya never know what you're going to find here each week!
DeleteG'day, W.Q.,
ReplyDeleteThis very-much-of-its-day, bouncy number spent two weeks at the very top here in '63, it being their only #1 - and getting to #6 in America.
Yes, we're all very glad that it went the way it did - and isn't that Moore STILL bleating on about it being not over yet?
I wish someone would ask him the pointed question - and it's got to be one coming out of the blue - "Excuse me, Mr Moore. What should be the punishment for anyone found guilty pf sexually molesting an under-age girl?" The look on his face would be priceless as his brain ticks over (assuming he has one), weighing up a suitably severe response against words which might later come back to bite him. Oh, what a delicious moment that would be!
All okay here, as I hope you are. Forecast is that it should now be less cold right up to Xmas day (and, hopefully, beyond) which is a mercy. Patchie and I are grateful for any alleviation of the shivers! As our weather often comes from your direction, usually with significant lessening of any unpleasantnesses, perhaps you'll be experiencing similar?
All the best to you, RTG, and the little tickle-worthy trio. Have a seasonally 'merry' w/e,
Byeeeeeee!
moore needs to STFU and siddown; he LOST cause he's a LOSER!
Deletewe had 3 mini snowfalls since last saturday (saturday, wednesday, friday). this week it's supposed to trend warmer (YAY!). my arthritis and asthma will be so grateful.
been a good weekend so far; good mix of house chores/naps/relaxation.
scratches to patchie and hugs to you. it's been an annus horribilis for you & me this year.
I started writing a list of moans about the past year, W.Q., but you don't want to hear them - and why should you, or anyone else? You've had more than your own share of 'downs' so let's move onward together, hand in hand, to a more optimistic 2018.
DeleteSeasonal positive strokes to all the five of you!
"let's move onward together, hand in hand, to a more optimistic 2018" - I AGREE!
DeleteYes to all you say! And my adored sister taught how to be a back-up singer/dancer for Glad All Over. She of course was lead!
ReplyDeleteoh THAT must have been fun for you and dale!
DeleteGLAD all over... now damn, wasn't that progressive of them way back then!
ReplyDeleteevery so often I see a ray of hope...
DeleteYou and the Mistress with these blasts from the past.
ReplyDeletefun, ain't it? and I am older than the mistress and remember so much more...
DeleteI will pass on your salutations!
ReplyDeletethank you, luv!
DeleteLove the matching outfits! I hope you had a great weekend. RJJS
ReplyDeletethe matching suits was such a silly thing back then...
DeleteI always really liked the Dave Clark Five. They had a great driving rhythm and as the kids on American Bandstand used to say, "It's got a good beat and you can dance to it. I'd give it an 85."
ReplyDelete85 is a great number!
DeleteI'm late. Senator Jones has an openly gay son.Zaddy! Perfect song choice for the occasion. #REVOLT
ReplyDeletewell ain't THAT perfection! these are the kinds of people we need in the guvmint!
DeleteI'm with you all the way!
ReplyDeletethank you, madame president!
