  1. People were certainly more bendy back then. The woman dancing at the bottom of the stairs cracked me up.
    Keep fighting.

    1. I didn't even notice the toy guns; I had to go back and watch the video! ;-)

cold and rainy and damp this weekend. the heat is on again in the house. RTG took me out for mexican food yesterday for mother's day; the pussie girls bought me roses. the usual house chores/errands were completed. still have to fix dinner for tonight, then get ready for another work week.

smooches to you and patchie. anticipating the royal wedding next weekend.

    2. Mexican (veggie) food used to be my favourite of ALL foods - downed, of course, with the help of a margarita or three in salt-rimmed glass. (I say "used to be" simply because I've not been to any restaurant for something like 25 years - and Mexicans are still very much a rarity in this country anyway, at least outside the capital).

Yes, Harry and Meghan - the problem is where am I going to go in order to avoid catching sight of a TV. Sitting on the sea-front and looking out towards France is a more attractive alternative. (The eventual sight of her dad is arousing considerable curiosity here, though not with me). I suppose you'll be watching, time difference permitting?

Patchie (as well as myself) sends his best wishes to you and the little girlies - and to the man of the house. Hope you're both coping well enough with your separate heath issues.

Summer refuses to get really going so far. It promises, then fails to deliver. I think you're still awaiting your first truly hot day too - not that you'll be welcoming it when it arrives.

      'Speak' to you later. XXX.

    3. I don't like tequila, so I've never had a margarita. we both had red sangria, with orange/cherry/peach fruits.

I will look in on the wedding, as I always do. it's interesting for us americans to "see how the other half lives" as it were. LUCKY YOU that you are on the seacoast; so you must live along the bottom of the UK island.

RTG and I are trying to cope as best we can with the arthritis issues that bother us. I don't mention it on my blog as that shit bores people to death.

we are going to have a hot week this week, with plenty of rain squalls to wash away the pollen. there is a spot in my back yard that has many lilies of the valley blooming; such a wonderful fragrance! I have to leave them outside though; if they were inside, I would be sneezing my head off! the daffs have come and gone; the hyacinths and tulips were frozen out by the cold march/april we had. the grass has been cut 3 times already. everything is a nice shade of green. the air conditioner is ready to go!

    4. Yes, I'm always going up and down England's 'bottom' here on the south coast. After 26 years around here and its environs I'm still wanting to move back up to the 'umbilical' area - Oxford, but prices to rent there are far too high - over twice what I'm paying right now. So, still waiting for the lottery to look this way with a BIG pay-out.

Wedding mania right now (Sat 18/5 9.30 a.m.) Must look it up to see exactly who's getting knotted!

    5. "I'm always going up and down England's 'bottom'" - hee hee hee!

I awakened at 6:45a, just before HM arrived; I streamed the wedding live on my laptop. HM and PP are getting around rather well for persons in their 90s. a nice way to start a rainy dreary saturday here.

  4. Well, this brings back memories! Memories of underage drinking, phoning up the radio station, asking for a song, and this is the one the DJ picked, LOL.

  5. Pre aerobics! This song has always tickled me. It's such a cheery little ditty considering the subject matter and lyrics. I doubt very seriously that His Royal Orangeness will be that cheerful once the law wins. Maybe we can find someone to sing it as a dirge. There's always Happy Days Are Here Again.

  7. This is the perfect song for the Mango Mussolini, and I can't wait for someone to go up to him and say "You should be in prison" just like he said to Hillary.

I don't even live in the US, but wish Mueller would bring this to an end soon. What in hell is he waiting for??? They will both be dead before anything happens at this rate.
