  3. This is one of the Beatles' absolute best of all - and that's really saying something coming from them! Love especially the way the time signatures are played with in this.

Next Thurs we're being being graced by a visit from 'your' POTUS, who deigns to call on us (trophy-wife-in-tow), a call sandwiched between a lecture stop directed at NATO-leader members (pay up or else I'll take my toys away!) and a tete-a-tete with BF Pres Putrid (Mwah mwah!).
After all the preparations have been made to fly a massive balloon (blimp) over London representing himself as a diaper-wearing baby with cell-phone in tiny hand, as well as large, vocal demonstrations planned, we learnt yesterday that his itinerary will mean that he most likely won't see any of it as he'll be visiting the Prime Minister at her country retreat just outside London and meeting the Queen at Windsor Castle, likewise outside London. He will make a flying short visit to the capital but not anywhere near to where the balloon and demonstrations will be, so he won't be seeing anything. Sad! - and also very strange, ain't it? Then after all that time of heavy business he'll take some time off for a couple of days in Scotland where he can relax and play a bit of golf. Goodness me, he'll deserve it, right? Then on to Helsinki and Putrid for their cloistered meetings with no one else present. (We must allow them to keep their state secrets!). So no royal golden coach this time. Next time, maybe - if they allow him out for 'good behaviour' which itself is unlikely if that's to include 'no tantrums' - and no tweeting.

Heatwave continues here, but at temps which you would consider a merciful relief - mere mid-eighties! Hope that you and your four co-residents are managing to prevent yourself from melting away completely.
Have a fine w/e, within the confines of what's poss in such exceptional (and concerning) weather.

    1. the dump is such a pussy! he can't take protesters or criticism. I cannot wait to see what happens when he visits scotland (hee hee)!

this private meeting with putrid putin is NOT a good sign.

after last week's 40C+ temps, we cooled off last saturday and have been more in the "normal" range (30C+); a relief for humans and animals and plants alike.

I had a minor in-the-MD's-office procedure performed on my left leg last month; I am now free of pain and a walking cane.

meanwhile, RTG is lining up a hip replacement surgery (in hospital) for some time in august. he will be writing about that on his blog no doubt. the girls will nurse him back to health.

did you get patchie into the vet?

      "see" you around the blogs!

    2. He's already put the proverbial cat among the political pigeons here, before he even arrived. But after he did he gave an interview criticising the Prime minister for not following his advice on the calamitous Brexit negotiations. Furthermore, he's suggesting that our (until a few days ago) buffoon of a Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, would make a 'great' Prime Minister. Takes one to know one, I suppose. Mrs May must feel ever so grateful for his support of her. Demonstrations have already started in cities nationwide and the big baby balloon goes up over London tomorrow, though he's being shielded from seeing it. SAD! Oh, and btw: he says that most Brits "like him a lot". That was news to me - and to many millions more.

I was wondering after his relaxing golfing break in Scotland and he flies to see BF Putrid, when they're closeted together, just the two of them, what language do they use? I reckon that the Very Stable Genius will be drawing on his multi-lingual talents to converse in Russkie. What do you think?

Yup, Patchie had his first ever vet visit last Mon and started his injection course - next one in coupla weeks. I'm told he's got too fat and I've got to reeduce his food intake, but he's always been that size (and heavy as hell!) since he started coming to me. But relieved to have got things moving.

Thanks for the update of your own and RTG's physical conditions. All sounds pretty ghastly, though I note you've ditched both pain and cane, so mercies there. S'pose it might have been worse - even if not by much.
Will watch out for RTG's progress report, while thinking him all the best that I can muster.

It's still what we call a 'heatwave' here and has been so for getting on for a month now - temps in upper 20s or touching 30 day after day (It's what you'd call 'normal'). Concern growing re water supplies but no problems yet apart from the discomfort which we're just not used to.

      'See' ya later!

    3. I watched some of the balloon flight live this morning on the "joe my god" website. looked like a loverly day in london towne.

and I saw pix of last night's pre-dinner fou fou at blenheim palace; poor winnie churchill must have been screaming from the grave. I never saw two more miserable couples than the mays and the dumps. at least mrs may was dressed nicely. the red carpet was too damn much. AND THEN the dump throws her under the bus! arsewipe!

I wonder how tea with HM QEII went today? I have not seen any reports yet. I also saw only 11% of brits like the dump; over here it's around 30%.

RTG says there are over 60K people in trafalgar square demonstrating. GOOD! I can't wait to see what happens in scotland tomorrow!

  4. I'm down for a revolution. I'm also down for the Fight Club that Michael Avenatti (Stormy's attorney) and Ted Lieu (Cali Congressman) are starting. It's like The Resistance on steroids.
