Saturday Night Protest Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Walking On The Sun" - it's been this way since 11/8/2016.  But 11/3/20 will be different!

"Keep believing. Keep marching. Keep building. Keep raising your voice. Every generation has the opportunity to remake the world.” - Barack Obama, July 2018

PS - HAPPY BIRTHDAY (December 7) to Mark!

  1. Thurs is our election day, an occasion when I always stay up till the early hours of following day to see who's going to be our Prime Minister for the next FIVE years! Enthusiasm non-existent this time as, barring Divine intervention, we're going to have Britain's Trump making the U.K. the world's (second) laughing stock for years to come, such is the 'intelligence' of the electorate who'll vote him in. The only question is how big his majority will be - though indications are still that it'll be a mighty big one. I can think of at least two world leaders who'll be thoroughly satisfied with the result - Pres. Putrid and.....well, you know the other one.

Btw: You may not know that there's been an independent report sitting on BoJo's desk for some weeks on Russian interference in British politics (sound familiar?). Only publication's been held back until after the election. And that being decided by who? Yes, BoJo himself!
Please send us your thoughts and, yes, prayers - ANYTHING will do!

    Have a nice w/e.

    1. SHIT! you guys are stuck with a moron. this does not bode well for mother england. where is winston churchill when you need him? I fear england has entered another "darkest hour". and we have no franklin roosevelt to help you.

RTG still needs his cane to get around, but he is much improving. the pussies have made good nurses for us.

right now it's9p on thursday night and all are asleep but me. it's -3C outside. and I am enjoying the warmth and the quiet.

    2. BoJo actually kicked Winston Churchill's grandson - a current Member of Parliament - out of the Conservative Party (along with about two dozen others) for not supporting his Brexit 'deal'. Churchill was actually coming up to retirement anyway, so no great loss - but still, it shows the way we're now going, and this is only near the beginning. Sad!

Cats provide oodles of solace without their being aware of it. I find that mine give me a strong motivation for continuing with life, when it sometimes feels hardly worth it. After all, without me who would take care of them? :-)

We're lucky in not having (yet?) had a sustained cold spell. Days averaging 9-10C while nights down to a manageable 5C, and forecast to stay that way right through Xmas day. But -3C? Brrrrrrr. No thanks!

    1. There hasn’t been a credible political opposition in the UK for years. Ever since the UK voted to leave the EU the electorate who voted that way were told they hadn’t really known what they were voting for. The two opposition parties whose stance was to either stop Brexit or open up another vote on it have been deserted by voters. It may be an unpalatable fact for some who read this but Boris Johnson’s victory is a backing for Brexit for those who voted it, and by installing him as Prime Minister now, the country has effectively voted for it again.
