First, AM, I am so glad that you are out of the ICU and back on the dance floor!
Second, this is your greatest song choice ever (and you have provided many fine choices)!!!
Third, I once thought of taking your spouse to the hospital after he fell off an orange fun-fun-covered mushroom-shaped footstool back in '70s -- but then I realized he had just done too many hits of poppers and that he would return to a functional level of incoherence without my intervention. :-)
Hi, Dear. First of all it's SO good to have you here again in your usual routine - or near enough, which explains why I'm so down the field this week (after having checked first thing this morning). It seems we might even have got close to actually losing you over recent days. OMG! That will NEVER do! I myself need to go well before YOUR time is called. So happy to know that your recovery continues apace. May it go forward now with not a single small step backwards. But do let us know of any stumbles (God forbid!) on the way. And no more scares for the hubby either, poor thing!
I use your video postings as an education or reminder of past times. In the UK this record reached #8 in '84 but I'd forgotten that in '89 it was re-released as a re-mix and achieved two places higher.
Btw: Our news is full of the first same-sex weddings here - so I've had a good cry already, and I've yet to go watch the evening news bulletins. It's helped by being the nicest day of the year, weather-wise, over practically the entire country - sunny and warm. One in the eye for those who complained that our recent floods and winds were due to this 'Satanic' legislation. You see - even 'God' himself is smiling on us - and I'm pretty sure that it must be proof incontrovertible that He himself is gay.
Now go and finish your recuperation. I'll check again at the usual time early next Sat to see if you're back to your usual timetable - but could well 'speak' to you before then.
Take (continued) care of yourself - and "Ta ta" for now.
yeah, it was. nothing like gasping for breath and finding air cannot get its way into your lungs. but I ain't dead yet, and I am here to kick some ass for another day.
I loved her in my disco days of the 80's! I loved her thighs and hair back then but I wasn't shapely enough to match her. I'd give her a run for her money these days though!
I just read your husband's account of your harrowing asthma attack and stint in the hospital. That's really scary, but I'm delighted that you're home again and ready to dance! Sorry I was so late in writing this. Take care.
never too late, dear jon. yes, it WAS scary; worst of all, they sent me to a CATHOLIC hospital. what a crock of shit! but we philly warrior queens are fighters!
you better believe it, dear spo! I KNEW my boyfriends would be wondering where I was last weekend. your warrior queen still has more ass to kick in this life!
