Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Show and Tell" - I'll show you mine if you show me (and tell me) about yours!

PS - HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMMAS AND JEEP GUY!

A cool (as well as being a hot) one to start the week-end. I didn't know this at all, nor the gentleman's name. (Maybe that's something to be ashamed of?).
Although his only chart entry here, 'The Snake' (no comment!), reached an ultra-modest #45, I see it did top the Billboard charts.

Hope you're well and ready for a relaxing w/e, with your little ones rubbing your calves and ankles when it approaches their meal time, in the same way that I assume hubby does.

    'bye for now!

    1. almost 6a here; cats have just been fed, spouse is still asleep (good!).

a cool 68F right now; no air conditioner needed!

today we have brunch with janey, who comments frequently on both our blogs and has been BFFs with spouse since 1977. then it's the usual weekend chores.

tomorrow we go to a REAL old-fashioned cinema that is playing a silent movie with LIVE theatre organ accompaniment; a harold lloyd piece. one of spouse's hobbies is silent movies.

and yesterday I had the house call vet come in and give the kids a well-kitty checkup; she pronounced all happy and healthy!

      smooches to the king!

    2. And no less back to you too, A.M.

Your cinema experience on the morrow will definitely be something worth remembering.
When I was a nipper one of our local cinemas (they were all HUGE in those days) had a big organ at the front and sometimes we'd be regaled with a recital while we bought our ices/nuts/drinks in the interval (those were the days when their were always TWO films showing together + newsreel + the usual trailers and ads) - but I've never attended one of a silent film with live accompaniment. It must take considerable skill to time the music being played seamlessly with the mood changes required. There are revivals now and again in London or big cities, of silent film showings, sometimes with full orchestra accompaniment. Have fun.

Glad your brood are all up to the mark.

After one cracker of a Summer it seems our Autumn is trying to push in earlier than it ought to - but we're still hoping for maybe at least a couple of weeks' splurge of Summer weather before it finally gives up the ghost, though if it happens it's not going within the next few days.

      Ciao.

    3. today it's sunny and in the 70s F; the windows are all open to let in the fresh air, spouse just finished mowing the lawn, the cats are napping, and we did some grocery shopping this morning.

nyla and oreo weigh 15 pounds each; gigi weighs 8 pounds. nyla and oreo are both about 6 years old; gigi is about 3 years old. all vet pronouncements from friday.
