"I intend to live forever. So far, so good." - Steven Wright
M'ning A.M. You give us here another of those records that defined the moment - in this case early 70s. I remember we thought at the time that the film would signal a new kind of crime-caper/crime-stopper cinema, though if it happened at all it was to be short-lived.This single 'only' got to #4 in UK though I see it was a chart-topper in America. The story of Isaac Hayes is a strange one, what with his late conversion to the Scientology cult (I use the 'c' word deliberately because they dislike it so much) - and, not long afterwards, his untimely demise. But his 'Chocolate Salty Balls' was unforgettable and, were it not for 'Shaft' it would have been a particularly fine epitaph to have remembered him by. (Tee hee!)Greetings to all, not least the little furballs - and a nice Labour Day w/e to you.Byeeeee!
we also like his "freedom" solo at woodstock in 69 (heh heh heh, I said 69).all the furballs and the spouse are napping at this moment.
One has to get up mighty early to beat Raybeard to your Saturday dance parties!I am up and off to the airport early. A little 1970s to get me a goin!
that's cause raybeard lives in the UK, so he has a 5-6 hour head start on the rest of the boyfriends!I don't call him king raybeard for nothing, since he is the KING of my dance party entries!
Aw, shucks, A.M. I'm right chuffed to read that!Btw: Computer problems have returned this morning after one day of sanity. Oh dear! Will soldier on as far as I can.
:)do what you can, king!
