"I intend to live forever. So far, so good." - Steven Wright
I miss this song!
believe it or don't, I always thought this was the jacksons singing...
I've been pretty busy with shopping, and I get to do it all again tomorrow. Have a great weekend!
I don't shop at all. born a real live girl, with absolutely NO girly girl tendencies. all I have are my bewbs. and my brains.
M'ning A.M. Boy. was I slow of the mark today! (I think Huntress must have posted her comments before you had time to put up the actual blog!). You give us a frizzled-hair delight here. Makes me wonder if such a style was compulsory at that time as even nearly all the audience seems to wear that very same look on top. This particular chirpy number got to #3 here in '76. Can just about remember it.Life around here is quiet at the moment, which is sometimes the best thing to be.Oh. it's a big celebratory w/e in your parts, ain't it? Have a great time - and don't forget to give some special turkey treats to the three little 'uns. ("Gobble gobble" - isn't that what one says?)See ya later (alliga...)!
hiya king raybeard!the huntress lives in california, so when I published after midnight my time, it was only after 9p in her world. so she got the first comment spot.fros are coming back into style over here.the girls don't get turkey - makes them puke (too rich). and I don't eat it either.I see america has exported the evils of "black friday" to the UK; hope your guvmint nips THAT crap before the british people become as stupid as most 'murricans.
The Black Friday scenes here (and not just in London - all over the damn place!) were an utter disgrace. This is the first year that they've happened big time - particularly strange in that Thanksgiving is (of course) in no way marked here. But any ol' excuse will do! Too late to pull back now. The bug's been caught and will manifest itself for evermore, worse luck!Afros are returning? Must look out for them. The nostalgia and envy will be poignant and painful.
shit; it is the downfall of british civilisation!afros are not being worn by everyone; I am seeing one or two a week, but no where near the critical mass of the 70s.
The Motown Sound! The Sound of Young America! The Dee-troit Sound! That got my day started!!!
I think all your boyfriends are typical guys and are full of fish stories.
well, you KNOW most of them, spo! and are YOU full of fish stories?
I hope you had FABULOUS Thanksgiving my friend! MHAW!
meh. I have had a quiet day at home today, just the way I like it.
Hellooooo again Anne Marie, Long time no chat. I don't know about you? I had a nice past quiet week off. Slept in on Friday and Saturday. Both days I helped out at my former small retail job. Love your Saturday song selection. I have this song on vinyl, a K-Tel album. Smooches and have a fab. rest of your weekend. MHAW! Randy in NEB
well well well, it's alive!(recoils at the horror of retail)who DIDN'T have a K-Tel (or two) album back in the day, eh?I think of you when I look at the cat coffee mug on my mantlepiece.smooches!
Quiet holidays can be good too. Love the song but this love machine is on hiatus
