Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Love Machine" - dig them clothes-n-fros!  My boyfriends are all love machines (or so they tell me)!

  3. M'ning A.M. Boy. was I slow of the mark today! (I think Huntress must have posted her comments before you had time to put up the actual blog!).

You give us a frizzled-hair delight here. Makes me wonder if such a style was compulsory at that time as even nearly all the audience seems to wear that very same look on top.
This particular chirpy number got to #3 here in '76. Can just about remember it.

Life around here is quiet at the moment, which is sometimes the best thing to be.
Oh. it's a big celebratory w/e in your parts, ain't it? Have a great time - and don't forget to give some special turkey treats to the three little 'uns. ("Gobble gobble" - isn't that what one says?)

    See ya later (alliga...)!

    1. hiya king raybeard!

the huntress lives in california, so when I published after midnight my time, it was only after 9p in her world. so she got the first comment spot.

fros are coming back into style over here.

the girls don't get turkey - makes them puke (too rich). and I don't eat it either.

I see america has exported the evils of "black friday" to the UK; hope your guvmint nips THAT crap before the british people become as stupid as most 'murricans.

    2. The Black Friday scenes here (and not just in London - all over the damn place!) were an utter disgrace. This is the first year that they've happened big time - particularly strange in that Thanksgiving is (of course) in no way marked here. But any ol' excuse will do! Too late to pull back now. The bug's been caught and will manifest itself for evermore, worse luck!

Afros are returning? Must look out for them. The nostalgia and envy will be poignant and painful.

    3. shit; it is the downfall of british civilisation!

afros are not being worn by everyone; I am seeing one or two a week, but no where near the critical mass of the 70s.
