Say Goodbye (and good riddance) To 2014!

Kick 2014's ass out the door, and say hello to 2015!  Happy New Year to all my boyfriends near and far!

So what have I been doing this last week (besides working)?

Well, let's review with some pix, shall we?

These are the electric candles I have in my windows; they face the street.  I have a pair; they used to belong to my in-laws, they are over 50 years old, and they were made right here in phillytown!

The stockings were hung (heh heh heh) by the chimney with care...

...and one for the pussies who all reside there.  My SIL made these stockings 20 years ago; Sydney was our first cat and he passed in 2002.  "A house without a cat is not a home" - tru fax dat!

Since Mistress Maddie is a fan of front doors, here is mine.

I got this DVD collection for xmess; fascinating history!

And now for something completely different...

The girls gave me this calendar; it hangs on my office wall.

Santa Cat brought the girls some new toys!

Miss Gigi says HAPPY

Miss Nyla says MEW

Miss Oreo says YEAR!

  8. All best wishes to you, to RTG, and to G,N & O, A.M. Yes, 2014 was a total bummer of a year in so many ways, and not just politically etc - for some of my own health issues too, though when I see what others are going through I'm fortunate for being in a position to be able to still count my blessings.

Didn't stay up to see the ball drop but I did see it live coming from the Big Apple on Sky News (at 5 a.m. our time) - NY in NY! ("I wanna wake up in a city that doesn't sleep.....")
Now I suppose you'll be/ have been sleeping in today to summon up energy to get the routines moving again - with new blog postings coming from yourself and others to help keep me sane.
NY salutations too from (currently here) Blackso, Noodles, Tortie, Hecky, Coalie - only Patchy's been in but gone out on the prowl again.
    Toodle-oo!

    1. awake at 7a, cleaned up the kitchen from last evening's junk food/booze fest, have a load of dishes going, made a pot of coffee, got dinner braising in the slow cooker.

today will be laundry (3 loads) and some de-cluttering and some knitting. cats and spouse are still asleep; I am enjoying the quiet, sunny, cold morning.

  10. Love your new calendar. That grumpy cat got hella famous out of nowhere. I had a yoga cats calendar for this past year so I decided to keep the animal theme and I'm getting Hot Guys and Baby Animals 2015 Calendar.
