This is how I am feeling right now.
Dance like no one's watching.
Sing like no one's listening.
"Hooked on a Feeling" - oohgahshakka! No wonder we all got stoned in the 70s!
PS - Please keep Travel Penguin and Dr. Spo and Fearsome Beard and Mark in your thoughts as they deal with serious family medical issues.
BONUS VIDEO - since we are attending a Three Stooges convention this weekend...
A "Three Stooges Convention" sounds like it could be a euphemism for many, many things.
ReplyDelete"Hooked on a Feeling" always reminds me of that Ally McBeal show; I think there was a baby dancing to that song.
~ Freckles
nope, not a euphemism; here is a link: http://www.threestooges.com/convention (info on our convention)
Deletewe had a good time; spouse caught up with friends.
Good evening. It's still late Friday night for me, and I just finished watching the season premiere of Banshee. God, I'm going to miss that show when it ends in a few months.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to check out Wynonna Earp at the top of the hour, and then I have no idea what I'll be up to for the next four days.
so what HAVE you been doing?
DeleteThe oohgahshakka chanting was like a bunch of tribesmen hailing their queen! Would you enjoy being oohgahshakkered, Anne Marie?
ReplyDeleteyou mean worshiped like the warrior queen that I am? HELL YEAH!
DeleteOohgahoogahoogahooooo....cute dude, mediocre song. This 70's stuff always sounded better when we were stoned.
ReplyDeleteA Three Stooges convention??? You've piqued my curiosity.
Lots of rain here yesterday and more frost predicted for the weekend. This place should thaw out by August. I'm in a foul mood lately. OOhgah!!!

1/2 of 70s music sucked ass (think "billy don't be a hero"); the other 1/2 is what I like to play (DISCO)!
today is so fucking cold; I am back home huddled under a blanket.
Yes, I do remember getting stoned a lot, but I do not recall much of these "70's" of which you write... ;-)
ReplyDeletebwhahahahahahahahahaha!
DeleteIf that does not make you smile . . . maybe Dr Spo can help.
ReplyDeletewe had a GREAT weekend!
DeleteThis is an okay song, but I prefer the BJ Thomas version ... less oohgahshakka!
ReplyDeleteHave a faboosh weekend AM!
I was in college when this song was popular; I like this version better, the lead singer is cuter.
DeleteA Three Stooges convention? I wasn't aware the Republicans were here campaigning.
ReplyDeleteNow there's a blast from the past!
ReplyDeleteHELL YEAH! their earliest movies are over 80 years old now.
DeleteA Three Stooges convention? Who knew? I hope you have a great time. RJJS
ReplyDeleteyep; we have been to several of these. larry fine was a philadelphian, so RECOGNIZE!
DeleteG'day, A.M.
ReplyDeleteI see no mention of this ditty in my ref volumes. P'raps 'twas only in U.S.A. - and I can't listen to it because......
Today and tomorrow were supposed to have been our first properly warm days of the year, then it's due to slide again. Well, today hasn't turned out like that at all - and it's now 16.40. So, maybe tomorrow?
All fine here, me and three furry ones. You too? Are you over your bad patch now, or still feeling you're not there yet? Hope it's the former.
Have a spiffing Sat (remainder of) and Sun.
'bye!
An afterthought: If yesterday and today were supposed to be 'warm' then I can only think we must prepare for snow tomorrow!
Deleteon friday it was 80F; today it's 45F. last evening we had a L-O-U-D thunderstorm with fast winds and hail and much rain. if this is spring...it's a joke.
Deletethe furkids missed us; our neighbor cat sat the girls. spouse is back to normal, I am still having some breathing issues; spring allergy season is in full swing. ACHOO!
Gesundheit!
Deletedanke!
DeleteI'd kill for his hair but that's about it! But I will admit my toe was tapping.
ReplyDeleteJP
the lead singer looked like the boy I was dating at the time; I was in college back then.
DeleteI have never heard either of these songs, and probably never will again, unless high, but the curly shuffle did make me chuckle, as he was my favorite. Do you have to dress like them for this convention?
ReplyDeletecurly was my fave too. we have met his grandson brad - looks/sounds JUST LIKE his grandfather!
Deleteno, you don't have to dress up; some people do. spouse has some stooge-themed shirts that he wore; I purchased some at the convention.
the three stooges (awful as they were) are still a hoot.
ReplyDeletetheir movies are STILL making people laugh 80 years later. this is one of my faves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E33qzW4Qvr8
DeleteThank you for your thoughts!
ReplyDeleteOF COURSE, dear! smooches!
DeleteLate to the party again. Been sickly and fighting off snow, but The Three Stooges puts me back on top. They always have and always will Bless your kind heart. Nyuk, Nyuk!
ReplyDeletesoitenly! we had a dusting yesterday, and my bronchitis is still hanging around. never late to MY party, you knucklehead! :-)
