This is how I am feeling right now.
Dance like no one's watching.
Sing like no one's listening.
"Oye Como Va" - ay yi yi; muy caliente!
PS - Please keep Travel Penguin and Dr. Spo and Fearsome Beard and Mark in your thoughts as they deal with serious family medical issues.
A little Latino flair this AM, AM!
ReplyDeleteIt'll get the blood pumping and the feet moving ... which we need because we're leaving Monday for ten days in Oregon and we have a house to clean and a yard to clean and clothes to clean!
I'm ready for a vacation!
PS
DeleteI'M FIRST!!!!!!!!
By a mere two mins, Bob, but quite enough to push me into second. Well done, Sir!
Delete=) I'll take that two minutes, sir!
Deletepardon me if I interrupt this little bromance going on here...
Deleteyes, bob, you are first this week; congratulations. have a great vacation; pix please!
king raybeard, you are most gracious in your concession speech. truth be told, I published late this morning.
Well, can't win 'em all - and it's a long time since I really tried to.
Deletekeep on tryin'!
DeleteG'day, A.M.
ReplyDeleteHow're things? Story unchanged here, meaning that heating is on, with outside temps in the 40s, and poss of frost tonight and tomorrow night - and in long-range forecast looks like could stay this way until end of month at least. Can only assume that Spring has taken a diversion to miss us this year. Must fear for the Summer. Hope you're doing a bit better.
Other than that routine moan, all else seems tickety-boo. You too? And the family? - both the other half and your furry, extended fam?
That's all for now,
Byeeeeee!
warmer days (60s F) and cool nights (40s F); still have the heat on at night only.
Deleteother that a touch of spring allergies (EVERY LIVING THING here is blooming/growing), spouse and I and pussies are tickety-boo. I LOVE THAT PHRASE!
kisses to you and your pussies!
The pussies (who thank you for your kisses, btw) are plum fed up with the weather. Whenever the sun shines they go out for a bask, only for the cold wind and air send them scurrying in again. And there's STILL no sign of any warmth coming this way, with daytime temps remaining in the 40s even up to the 27th. Oh, weep!
Deletejust past 2p here and 68F and sunny. I just got back from grocery shopping and today's baseball game is on the radio. the girls are on the porch sleeping in the sun patches.
DeleteIf it wasn't for my own kids, as well as the prospect of having to endure hour upon hour of baseball (which I could never understand) I'd be over there in a trice!
DeleteI will try to send some of this niceness your way.
DeleteOnly 07:30 in the morning (for me) and you've got me up doing a salsa! You rock, AM (or should I say you 'salsa'?).
ReplyDeleteThank you for providing a nice start to my day. :)

you are most welcome, dear! 1970 - I was 16 and very insecure and a junior in high school. UGH! :(
Delete1970 - I spent much of that year in utero. Born in October of 1970. I think of all the recent decades 60s, 70s, 80s,90s, etc ... the 1970's culture and ambience is what I most identify with except I didn't get the experience that decade as an adult would.

my, you ARE a young one! go read my spouse's latest post on the 70s; it's a hoot! there will be more 70s music, BUT NO ABBA (because they suck), so stay tuned!
DeleteA great song to start a weekend full of promise. I hope you do something fun! RJJS
ReplyDeletefor fun, I got a nice spa pedi this morning. I feel like they took 10 pounds of winter dry skin off me!
Deleteother than that, it's the usual weekend of chores/errands/knitting/baseball.
I love this song! I'm up bright but not so early this morning. I was up very late last night working on my gaming computer.
ReplyDeletehello dear! now now, we don't want unsightly bags under the eyes...get your rest!
DeleteWell look at this Anne Marie is bringing some south of the border flair today! Where is the mojito????
ReplyDeleteI need to listen to these rousing tunes not at 1040 but earlier in the evening, so I don't get 'wired' and have insomnia.
ReplyDeleteyou don't need tunes to make you "wired", dear! :)
DeleteWatch the version of this song Santana played at Woodstock -- especially the hot sweaty acid-fueled drummer!
ReplyDeletegood morning goddess of springtime!
DeleteGood Morning WQ! Aren't we putting on a happy face despite our horrible allergies. This Goddess views her Springtime through a double pane of glass!
ReplyDeleteKisses!
my MD gave me a new allergy pill this season that seems to be working well (singulair). spouse is out cutting the (legal) grass since it has grown quite high the past week; I have the windows closed whilst he does this.
DeleteI too am on Singulair (as well as sprays, drops, etc., etc...) and find that life is less clogged and miserable. Tell spouse that he if he grows a lawn of illegal grass he'll have to cut it much less often... :-)
ReplyDeleteyeah but then we would be in jail and the cats will be parentless...
DeleteWow, I've heard this tune so many times, without even knowing who performed it! I bet a million asses must have shaken to this one, including your own!
ReplyDeleteHi Anne Marie, Just letting you know I'm still alive here in the Great Plains. Grass (the lawn kind) is growing in my yard. My nose is stuffed up to prove it. Send your Hubby over mine needs to be mowed too! Been raining like hell, but not as bad as in Texas. Hope to get my arse together to blog with in a day or two. :-(
ReplyDelete(waves to randy) I gots the itchy eyes and the sneezy nose. ah, springtime in philly...
