Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Give It To Me Baby" - what all the boyz shout at Mistress Maddie when she checks into The Raven!

PS - HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN!

  2. Yea, give it to me baby! I'd hate to count the times I've said that....

Hey, that Gilliam video (Brian Islam and Brucie) is hilarious - and I love the music! Thanks for the laughs.

It's in the mid-80's here, with humidity. It finally feels like summer. No plans for this holiday weekend - the kitties and I will be relaxing.

I think Ray will FINALLY be able to watch your video this week. Yay!

    Have a great weekend!

  3. I saw Rick James perform this one live....three times!

  4. Oh my God, it's been so long since I've seen this video I forgot this was Rick James. Whenever I've heard it on the radio I always think it's someone else's song.

We're getting cooler than average weather this weekend. It's drizzling outside, and the temperature may not hit 80. Since people in my neck of the woods blame Obama for everything, I'm blaming this on Donald Trump.

    Have a great weekend!

    1. 90F+ for the past 2 days here; about to end with a day of rain tomorrow. I think we should blame EVERYTHING on the very existence of donald the rump!

  7. G'day, A.M.
Here we are on this shiny, near-pristine computer - and now with a spanking new mouse to boot, to assist in making the subtle moves one needs to negotiate ones way around without overshooting. And looking good it is too! Much, much easier. Pity that getting familiar with where things are is still taking time and leading to untold exasperations but, hey, that's life!

So, after several months I'm back to being able to play your offerings, and with the super-speakers purchased, now in faultless and vivid stereo. Things just keep getting better!
I don't recall even the name of this particular artiste let alone this ditty, which got to our #47 in 1981, but it's a pleasingly muscular one.

Out temps these days hovering in mid- or upper 60s so can't really complain. Pussies fine, incl Blackso who seems oblivous of going bald, but at least he's showing no signs of suffering in any way, and still with healthy appetite and wet nose.
And you and yours? Are recent physical problems now a thing of the past or are there still twinges or perhaps more?
I suppose that the political euphoria of not long ago where it looked like the Reps might be be going to be consigned to the back seat for a generation, is now developing into a nightmare scenario where the Trump might actually win in Nov? The thought of the likely SCOTUS appointments if it comes about must fill at least half the country with gloom. And that's just only the one aspect. But what do I know? I hope I've misread the signs that we are receiving on this remote isle.

Anyway, let's not let misery get in the way - yet.
I wish you a perfectly luverly and relaxing w/e - and regards, kisses, hugs and strokes (as appropriate) to all in Philly - or at least to all those who deserve it.
    See ya later!
    Byeeeeee!

    1. I am so HAPPY you have a new computer! easier to keep in touch that way.

we have hit 90F+ the past two days. spouse is setting up his above-ground pool this weekend. I have stupid bronchitis AGAIN; I picked up some grotty virus last weekend and am on meds for 10 days (started meds last tuesday). sux; no energy to do anything but knit and sleep. cats are right as rain.

the rump IS a very real threat to this country.

    2. Oh Jeez! Pesky virus yet again? And another week of meds - what absolute pits! I can only hope it quickly tires of troubling you and moves onto pastures new, far from your home.

Yes, this computer is working like a dream, At least nothing's gone terribly wrong so far. Even easier since I decided to invest in a wireless mouse yesterday, not being able to cope with all the intricately minute touches required before for scrolling etc. Still wish I knew how to access a list of 'favourites', though. Really getting tiresome to have to go through Google every time I want to go to somewhere different. Still, I dare say in time it'll dawn on me.

As for 90F, don't know whether to feel happy for you or sorry. We're back down to low 60s, and although it's okay I do feel slightly cheated.

Now you have as comfortable a day as circs will allow.

  8. It's like you were there! When I get there, they tend to look nervous. Like when I say" I'll have another" and then wing the glass. Will they have enough gin? Were pulling up staking to head for the hills here soon. I may text you this week with a few dates....maybe a cocktail or 9 and lunch. Have a good Memorial tootes.

  10. Well, Anne Marie, are your sympathies with Rick who's saying "Give it to me!" or the lady who ain't playing ball. What would it take to make you play ball? :)

"What would it take to make you play ball?" - well, a nice bat and balls for starters...a furry outer layer...intelligence...a nice smile..."come hither" eyes...
