Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Run To You" - when the feeling's right, I'm gonna run all night!

PS - get well smooches to Fearsome Beard as he recovers from serious shoulder surgery!

  1. G'day, A.M.
This number from Mr Adams was his first impression on our charts, getting to #11 here in early '85 - though I see it did make #6 in U.S.A. I've never been a particular fan of his, though certainly didn't dislike him either. His records were tolerable enough, I suppose.

Our news is filled with the hideous events in Dallas and what had just previously given rise(?) to the situation. How to deal with any aftermath, if there is any, is going to need a whole load of skill and diplomacy. Worrying times indeed!

We await the arrival of Summer (I'm still leaving the 'Welcome' mat out.) Hardier souls than mine have taken to wearing shorts outside though it seems rather more an act of defiance than an attempt to be more comfortable. Still, there's time yet - just.

Otherwise all well here. Hope you can say the same. If it hadn't been the case I'd like to think that you'd have let us know.

Have a luverly and precious little w/e. Regards and friendly strokes as appropriate) to all around you in Philly.
    Byeeeeeee!

    1. hello, king raybeard! first again!

I am so damn sick and tired of gun violence on EVERYBODY!

we have been under an "excessive heat warning" the past 3 days; the 4 Hs (hazy hot humid hell) are here. temps above 95F. spouse cut the lawn early this morning, and we are doing indoor chores today. I cannot breathe outside; bad air quality for my asthma.

otherwise, all 2-foot and 4-foot living beings are fine here. smooches to all in blighty!

    2. Thanks, A.M. We're 'basking' in mid-SIXTIES temps here, so one can say, with justification - "No sweat, then!"

  2. I'm fascinated by the scene in the middle of the video, when he was lying on his back amid the leaves while the pretty girl was staring at him. Was he waiting for her to do something?

  3. I can't run to anybody - there's too damn much water and mud. The rain has been torrential all week and more is predicted.
I like the song and the video.
Hope your weekend is dry and pleasant!

  7. Good morning, and a great choice for the dance party. I remember when Cuts Like A Knife got heavy airplay on MTV, and then he released the album Reckless. We ended up with BA on our MTV for another two years thanks to five singles from that album, including this one.

I hope all is well. I'm hobbling around on a bad foot but otherwise I'm doing great. Have a great weekend!
