G'day, A.M. Firstly, hearty congrats for your 4th blog-anni on the 4th. I appreciate your ensuing comment and am pleased to echo them myself.
You give us almost pre-history (in modern music terms) this week, one might almost say 'Vintadge Madge'. This one only got to #14 here back in '84, but it was, after all, before she'd become fully established and shortly afterwards was releasing masterpiece after masterpiece.......until it all came to a stop.
I almost didn't make it to your blog today. Can only get here through devious means. Have to take this lappy to the repairers next week. Yet more expense!
Otherwise all fine here - at least it could be so much worse! Temps are tolerable and warm - while, I suppose yours is still intolerable and hot? Pussies are fine. Anything new and noteworthy at your end? If so I hope it's happy news. Regards to all - all tied up in ribbons of the colour of your choice.
we actually had a couple of days this past week where I shut off the air conditioner and opened the windows. by friday, back to the old hazy hot humid hell.
nothing new here; cats are currently napping, spouse is mowing the lawn, I did grocery shopping earlier.
Happy 4th! We are all Lucky Stars to have your blog to wake up to each Saturday morning!
This song was big when I was in LA, and remains one of my favs. Note Judith Jamison, the tall striking African-American woman, taking a break from what was then her job as director of the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater (as I believe it was called back then) to be a back-up dancer for Madonna.
This may shock you, but I like her mid range song to current tracks better! Her two albums Confessions on the Dance Floor and Music were among my favorites. I am glad to have found you through the Mistress's blog...keep it coming along with those Brain Pukes, lol
Congratulations on the anniversary. Has it really been four years? How time flies I like Madge but this song seem a little dated to me. Sorry I'm late to the party. I've had house guests again. It takes a lot of work to be a good host. Have a good week. RJJS
NO ONE is ever late to my party! yep, I can't believe it's been 4 years. more power to ya to have house guests; my house has no room for guests (just as well).
G'day, A.M.
