G'day, W.Q. Don't recall this one at all though I see it got to our #13 in '89. Pleasant enough.
All fine here. Been one noteworthy event - for the first time in the 10 years I've had him, Noodles actually stayed in my lap yesterday, and for over half an hour. He's always jumped straight off before. Maybe at his age (15) he's at long last getting to realise that I can be trusted.
Welcome mild weather here with temps around 50 and only slightly lower at night. As far as I'm concerned it can stay like this until January - and throughout Jan too. And you and your weather? And the little ones?
Got to go and get my toenails clipped today - a three-monthly necessity (at a price) considered too risky to do oneself. But it's just one of the slight 'humiliations' to which people in my situation are reduced. Not complaining. (Heigh ho!)
Have a pleasant little, untroubled w/e now, okay? Byeeeeee!
we saw snow yesterday! as soon as it hit the ground it disappeared. THAT'S the kind I like!
gigi (age 5) is also becoming more affectionate lately. we adopted her 2 years ago and, whilst still not wanting to be picked up, she will rub you and sit while you pet her. I even found her in bed with me this week! cat behaviour is interesting, no?
we are in the chilly 0s C. and below at night. and the solstice is 2 weeks away - c'mon longer days!
RTG and I visit the same salon for our pedis; it's quite relaxing. janey (RTG's BFF who comments on here) also goes for pedis; it's not just a girl thing! get yours painted red or green for the holidays, like dr. spo!
today we went to the grocery store and had a nice lunch out; came home and took a long nap with the cats. cannot think of a better way to spend a cold day, as both of us have caught a virus (hack and sneeze).
Zero degrees C? No thanks! And preferably no snow either, though must admit that it can be nice to see from the other side of glass.
Cats' behaviour is unfathomable - and it's always a challenge to coax them gently into more acceptable and friendly ways. Noodles has suddenly in the last few weeks taken to doing his wee at the bottom of the stairs, at the sole door leading out of the flat. Don't know why. There are always two litter trays (always kept clean), in the bathroom beside my own toilet. I think I'll try putting half an orange at the foot of the stairs as I hear that it's a smell they can't abide. As long as he doesn't then start doing his business in the kitchen or the living room!
Yes, later today I'll have a regular daytime nap with Blackso, using each other as a 'hot water bottle' - a 'cat-nap', if you will.
Toenails now duly clipped. When I could afford it used to see a chiropodist monthly, but now the cost is beyond my reach. It's only because my doctor advised getting them clipped by a nurse that I go to the present one. He advised that inadvertently cut my foot, with my condition, there could be far-reaching and very unpleasant consequences. So I'm not going to argue about that. (And NO painting for my tootsies!)
Have a nice Sun - and Advent wishes to all five of you. Once again - byeeeeee!
another 0 C morning here. cats have eaten breakfast and are back in bed. I have me coffee and will make a quiche for our breakfast soon. only thing on my agenda for today is laundry.
I still own that CD!
