Happy Xmas, W.Q. Yes, I'm still here - now just pulling through the heaviest bout of flu have had since Xmas '99 (despite having had annual flu jab) - which has incapacitated me for the last fortnight. Haven't been in a bloggy mood all this time but getting over it now. Worst is definitely past though still got occasional dizzy spells and a lingering hacking cough. But, hey, we've survived! Anyway, enough of me. Hope you and yours are well. I think you'll be currently freezing outdoors, right? Lucky us, we're on course to have the mildest Christmas day on record tomorrow - could be as high as 15C, with the night only slightly lower. Not complaining at all about that. Will become more seasonal weather early next week, unfortunately, but every little helps. Have an especially appropriate festive w/e. Greetings also to RTG and you-know-who. I'm sure we'll 'speak' again shortly. Byeeeee.
I HAVE been concerned about you, dear. did you go to the doctor yet? it IS good to hear you are on the mend though.
will father xmess stop by and bring you and your furkids something? it's 3a here and the fat guy in the red suit has left some holiday cheer (read: booze) under the tree!
yesterday RTG and I went to aldi for some groceries, then had an italian food lunch. today we will probably have an indian food lunch and I'll do laundry. just another day here. and the girls will get their new stuffed mousie toys to toss around.
Thanks for the message, W.Q., but absolutely NO doctor. Although it was mighty unpleasant while it lasted it wasn't really THAT important to require professional assistance. Besides, it's over now (apart from that pesky cough).
I stopped getting Xmas gifts very many years ago (they're all dead now anyway), so just as well I don't 'celebrate' the day in any manner. Not worth brooding over.
I'm going to (slighty) share your Indian experience for dinner by having a few veggie samosas with poppadums and some roast potatoes and sprouts. And maybe, just maybe, I'll crack open the bottle of port I've been keeping for today, though hardly in the mood for it as our tummy isn't quite settled yet. The little 'uns are all fine, enjoying the mild weather - though they'll get a nasty shock when it all turns brrrrrr in a coupla days time. But as at now, they send they best wishes to you and yours attached to my own.
Enjoy the rest of today, but don't pig-out TOO much and get a bellyful of regrets in the process. Leaving you with a ho-ho-ho and a....... Byeeeeeeee!
Merry Christmas to you Anne Marie. So glad we were able to see each other. And watch that Indian food. The curry makes me backfire something awful. Merry Merryπππ
