So the Penguin Got Me Thinking...

...no, not THIS Penguin...

...but THIS Penguin!

He discussed meeting bloggers IRL and whom he would like to meet next.

So I gots to thinking (and my head hurts).

I began my blogging adventures by reading knitting blogs and leaving comments; I have met several famous knitters this way.  This was before the days of Ravelry (knit/crochet social website).

From there, I somehow drifted into reading gay male (non-knitter) blogs (I know several gay male knitters) and leaving comments.  Then several of those non-knitter guys hounded me into starting a blog of my own (August 4, 2012).  So here I am.

So far, I have met the following friends (in no particular order, I don't play favorites):

spo
penguin
sassybear
fearsome beard
mistress maddie
mark (in DE)

I REALLY wanna meet these friends
(again, no particular order, I don't play favorites):

dave
bob
debra
squire john gray
mitchell
mark (in PHX)
blobby
anne
RJ (denver)
RJ (san diego)
lon
jon (dolores delargo towers)
JP (& guido & his big hose)
professor chaos
the noble ape
cookie
raybeard
jon (otto's son)
jimmy
the dogs' mother
biki
jeremy
walt in france

Hmmm, my "to meet" list is bigger.  Better get my fat ass moving!

Then there are three blogger friends I have met that are now deceased: the cajun, david, jay.

Some blogger friends I have met no longer blog, like cubby and kelly.  But I loves them just the same.

And what about the toxic bloggers I met and dropped like dynamite?  The hell with them; no publicity for false lying evil deceitful creatures!

  2. I enjoy meeting blogging buddies too and have never had a bad meetup. In fact, they've all been just as delightful in person as they are on their blogs! Philadelphia is on my bucket list -- I want to get there some day!

  3. I wish I could meet all of the bloggers I frequently visit. With the exception of Fearsome Beard I feel so far away from everyone. Of course, that would naturally happen when someone lives literally in the SW corner of the United States.

  4. There's a tree in the Congo with your name on it, Anne Marie. ;)

  5. Well, you could meet them all at once.....you know that would be a hellva of a party. I agree, everybody I have met had been so swell. My friend David Dust, who doesn't blog anymore, but he had a blogger get together twice. The Great Dust Bunny Blogger Get to Together, and they came far and wide to meet. If I recall it was where I met Mark and Spouse.(Del) How fun when the festivities started in the Greenwich Village...with a crawl...literally.... and flowed over into the Urges Lounge. A go-go boy bar!!!!!! After that most came back again. We were glad we didn't scare them.......
