Dance like no one's watching.
Sing like no one's listening.
"Too Late To Turn Back Now" - the trio of Stone, Manafort, and Cohen are about to get their short & curlies clipped by either the courts or Congress!
"Keep believing. Keep marching. Keep building. Keep raising your voice. Every generation has the opportunity to remake the world.” - Barack Obama, July 2018
PS - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY (February 22) to Dr. Spo & Someone!
Dig them 'fros!
PS - RIP Peter Tork.
Title of song at top must be one that a certain Mr Smollett is saying to himself over and over again (with heavy sigh), the silly man! - though perhaps we shouldn't rush to judgement. His version MIGHT yet be the true one - who knows?
ReplyDeleteIn my memory, Peter Tork, along with Mike Naismith, were the less 'visible' ones, Jones and Dolenz taking the limelight. But then I never managed to watch a complete episode of their TV show without getting too bored to keep it on. But it's always sad to hear of a famous personality of life's halcyon days departing no matter when it happens. And it brings one up sharp, especially since he was actually only 5 years older than me.
I see that Winter's been still gripping you lately, worse luck - while for a week (and a few more days of it yet before it cools down) we've had temps more like May, which is quite lovely, thank you. Hope you'll be enjoying the same as us before long.
Salutations to all ALL chez toi!
wonder if we will EVER know the real truth about jussie?
Deleteyou should be here this morning - high winds 40+MPH, but sunny blue skies. winter is still hanging around.
mike was my fave monkee; peter was a talented musician though.
I got to listen to baseball on the radio this past weekend; spring is here with baseball on! it's spring training games, so they don't count, but still...the promise of spring! I am seeing daffy & hyacinth sprouts in the garden already!
smooches to you and your furkids!
I think The Monkees were kind of underestimated. They were a real garage band.
ReplyDeleteXOXO
once they kicked the evil don kirshner to the curb, the monkees proved that they COULD play/write their own material!
DeleteMakes my morning hair regime look like a synch.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun weekend whatever you do.
JPx
I am a "wash n go" girl. after it air dries a bit, I finger fluff it.
Delete"My mamma done told me."
ReplyDeleteI love that song.
Peter was the cute one, no matter what anyone else says.
I am a mike girl myself.
DeleteHoly moly, those afros, lol! Especially the lead singer's!
ReplyDeleteyep, back in the day, high & puffy...
DeleteGreat song! "I've found myself wanting her at least 10 times a day. " That's how I feel about Obama. Can't we have that man (a real man) back
ReplyDeleteGo Mueller Go Mueller Go Mueller!
oh mah lard YASSSSS!
DeleteFor me, the story of the week was Jusse Smullet which cut me deep. The only silver lining was the discovery of Jaboukie Young-White. What a talent (and cutie).
ReplyDeleteI find it odd that all the news channels are coming across very subdued which leads me to believe nothing much is going to become of all this.
So many 'greats' have died this year and it is only February!
ya gotta wonder what motivated jussie to do what he did. now it makes proving a hate crime even harder. :(
DeleteCornelius Brothers and Sister Rose, be still my heart! I agree with Bob about Peter Tork. I've always preferred him over the rest. Mike came in a close second.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for all the right people getting their short and curlies clipped. Yanked out is even better on the right folks.
oooooooooooooooh, yanked out! manafort, the dump, roger stone, dump junior, istanka...
Deletemike was my fave monkee and still is.
I believe I believe I believe...
ReplyDeletekeep on believing!
Deletewhy does the monkees remind me a home movie from the casa du Borghese?
ReplyDeletechasing after the horny houseboyz, amirite?
DeleteScandal after scandal after scandal. I long the day they are all in jail. RJJS
ReplyDeleteI wish obama were back in the white house; no scandals, no drama, just intelligence.
DeleteManafort's sentencing memo is 800 pages. Think about that. He must have reeeeealy screwed up to have a memo the size of a Game of Thrones novel.
ReplyDeleteI had not heard about the 800 pages; JFC! manafort is EVIL!
DeleteI can barely remember the monkeys but they had some cool songs back in the day.
ReplyDeleteI was 12 when the monkees burst on the scene. screamed like a fangirl I did.
DeleteBeautiful...
ReplyDeleteobrigado!
DeleteThat song! Those Fros! So coiffed! And what's tht saying? This political soap opera ain't over until Cohen sings?
ReplyDeleteI find it interesting that Tork, who had the most talent, was relegated to comedic status. He was always my favorite.
mike was my fave; still is. wonder what dirty dishes cohen is gonna spew this week?
DeleteBless you!
ReplyDeleteEvery Sunday I stop by for Saturday night shenanigans and I am always delighted.
especially when you find a shout-out, amirite?
DeleteToo late to turn back now was a delight! Since I'm folliclly challenged I always appreciated a good 'fro.
ReplyDeleteRIP Mr. Thorkelson. You brought smiles to millions.
