So This Happened Yesterday

Yep, a blogger meetup in Philly!

Clockwise from bottom left (heh heh heh, I said "bottom"): my spouse, Fearsome Beard, Mistress Maddie, and me.  And yes, I made the poncho I am wearing.

Good friends, good food, good conversation, good times!  I got my hairy bear hug quota filled by Fearsome.  And I got to meet Fearsome's better half Ken (who took the pix).

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY (April 29) to Ken and Fearsome!

  1. How fun ...what a great way to spend the day.
    And the poncho is gorgeous.
    I don't see Maddie's hands...are they holding the gin?

    1. it WAS! I seldom get to see fearsome since he lives in san diego, so whenever he is in town we make plans to meet.

  3. Poncho is gorgeous! Fearsome's beard is almost as big as Maddie (lol) and so that's the man who keeps you out of trouble... or maybe gets you into more! ;)

  5. What an awesome picture! It's always nice to see Maddie above the neck, sans wig and make-up :) Fearsome is always awe inspiring (man and beard). You and RTG are adorable! What fun! I love the poncho! It's so nice when an artist can wear their art. I'd wear my art, but nobody wants to see me hobbling around in a peach cobbler dress, with a matching banana nut bread hat :)

  6. What a picture! - including Fearsome's developing into two legs! But this is LURRRRRRVELY!!! You'll all have been right chuffed that you managed it and it went so well. Hope you can do it again or similar before too long, without the physical toll it will have taken on you & RTG. (I've just read RTG's blof entry). But utterly splendid and jolly well done!

    1. it was the train re-routing that took the toll on our knees, raybeard. otherwise we would have been tickity-boo. there is NOTHING like the gathering of good friends; it's priceless.

    1. I KNOW! I was surprised you only had 1 G&T! nookie is overrated; hugs from good friends are better!

    2. I DO think you look beautiful! Mitchell is right. Hey, the next time he's in the states maybe we can all work something out. Mitchell's brother is on the East coast, I believe. :)

    5. truth be told, my old man was a physical/mental/emotional abuser. BUT I AM FABULOUS!

    7. it took 4 years of therapy and a complete "divorce" from the parental units before I could be free of my demons.

      Delete
    8. I do think the complete divorce makes all the difference. I never did/could do that myself but mine weren't as brutal as yours I think. I've overcome a lot of it but when I'm a bit down I still after all these years hear their voices in my head. Oh well. I've made a good life!

      Delete
    9. yes, you have a good life with jerry. and tell those voices to STFU!

  13. Beautiful poncho Anne Marie! It's nice to know women besides myself still wear them. I can't believe the Mistress behaved? Are you sure it wasn't a double?

    1. thank you, dear agnes; the poncho is even more colorful in person. blues, pinks, purples, greens - a riot of color!

nope, that was no double; the mistress kept her hands to herself.

  14. Oh what joy! And a splendid photo to boot ! You've done your hair!

    1. it WAS a happy time! and this is my hair's natural color, not from a box. ALWAYS get a gay man's advice on hair; maddie told me to leave it alone.
